How to judge a new slot
A new slot has no track record, so the published numbers are all there is. Look at the lowest RTP version, not only the headline figure: new releases often ship with several versions and an operator can pick a lower one.
Volatility tells you what kind of session to expect. Max win is a ceiling set by the game maths, and it is reached rarely or never in normal play, so do not budget around it.
Studios sometimes update a game after release. When the open RTP database re-verifies a row, the date on the game page changes.
RTP of new slots
The highest headline RTPs among new slots are Cat’s Soup by BGaming (98.06%), St. Patrick’s Pots Hold and Win by BGaming (97.75%) and Sweet Samurai by BGaming (97.6%). The average headline RTP across all 564 is 96.07%, and the lowest is 88.52% on Tivoli Bonanza.
221 of them (39%) are published in more than one RTP version, so the return depends on the version an operator runs. The widest gap is on Mystery Egg Surprise: from 96.98% down to 83.99%.
Volatility and max win
Volatility is published for 328 of the 564 games: 22 low, 111 medium, 129 high and 66 very high.
The largest published max wins are 100,000× on Mahjong Wins Super Scatter, 50,000× on Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter and 20,000× on Big Bass Bonanza 1000. The median max win of the 27 games that publish one is 7,500×. A max win is a rare ceiling, not a result to expect.
