Doomsday Saloon review

BGaming sets this 2025 cluster slot in a ruined world where survivors dig through rubble for loot. Winning groups clear away, new symbols fall in and a long list of special symbols can show up between refills: wilds, boosters and destroyers, plus a Wild Spin option in the main game. The studio calls it highly volatile, and the catalogue agrees with a Very high label. The listed RTP is a round 97%.

Clusters, refills and the digging mechanic

Wins come from clusters. When five or more identical symbols sit next to each other, vertically or horizontally, they pay and disappear. The empty cells are refilled with new symbols, and the process repeats within the same spin until no new winning group forms.

Between a clear and a refill, special symbols can be dug up in the empty cells. This is the part that makes the game unpredictable, since each refill can come with extra symbols attached.

Special symbols

Each of the symbols below appears in the gaps before the refill, and each disappears once it has done its job.

Destroyer

Destroys all the low-paying symbols on the screen without a payout, then vanishes. Only the low-paying symbols are affected.

Booster

Upgrades all the multipliers currently on the screen and then disappears. Without multipliers on the board it has nothing to upgrade.

Wild

Can appear in an empty cell after a winning spin and substitutes for any symbol except scatters, boosters and destroyers during the refill sequence. The studio mentions wilds carrying x10 multipliers that can progress up to x100.

Wild Spin

An optional main-game feature. It ensures that at least one wild symbol is dug up before the spin begins.

Multipliers, free spins and Buy Bonus

Cell multipliers grow up to x10 as the sequence continues, according to the studio. Three or more scatters unlock the free spins. Our rule text does not say how many spins each scatter count awards, so we do not list any.

Buy Bonus lets you skip the trigger. You can pay the sum shown in the pop-up for a classic free spins round, or for a round that starts with 1, 2 or 3 sticky wilds in place. The studio also mentions a x10,000 limit, described in its copy as the max exposure. Our catalogue does not publish a max win for this game, so treat that figure as BGaming's statement.

What the numbers say

Doomsday Saloon has one RTP on record, 97%, which gives a house edge of 3%. That is $30 lost per $1,000 wagered on average. An average 100-spin session costs $0.60 at a $0.20 bet, $3 at $1 and $15 at $5, a total stake of $500 at the highest level.

Those averages are not forecasts. The Very high volatility label means individual sessions can end far from the mean in either direction.

Studio neighbours

BGaming has no earlier or later entries for this exact title in our series list. Games with comparable numbers include Alice WonderLuck, Fiesta Clusters and Merge Up 2, all at 97% and Very high from 2025, and Sakura Riches 60 at 97.16%. From 2024, Aztec Clusters and Lucky Dragon MultiDice X are also listed at 97% and Very high.

Pros

  • 97% RTP with a 3% house edge
  • Cluster pays with refills, so one spin can chain many wins
  • Buy Bonus offers variants with 1, 2 or 3 sticky wilds
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • Very high volatility; results spread widely around the averages
  • No max win in the catalogue; the x10,000 figure is studio copy only
  • Many special symbols to follow in one cascade

Verdict

Doomsday Saloon packs clusters, refills, wilds, boosters and destroyers into one cascading design and labels itself highly volatile. The 97% RTP is a fair figure for a Very high game, and the 3% house edge still applies to every wager. If the many extras appeal, test the free demo first to see how often they actually change a spin.
