Loki Loot review
You play a Nordic warrior sent after treasure that the trickster god Loki has stashed across the lands. The quest is split in two. In the main game, ordinary line wins can carry prize symbols with fixed payouts. The real work happens in the free spins, where gold chests collect those prize values and a set of progress markers hands out extra spins and rising multipliers. It carries a 97.2% RTP and a Medium volatility label.
The main game: twenty lines and prize symbols
Loki Loot runs on 20 paylines, so wins are made by matching symbols along those lines in the usual way. Its own twist is the prize symbol. It can appear on any reel in the main game and pays in combinations of three or more when it falls on a payline. The values the studio lists are x0.5, x0.75, x1, x1.5, x2.5 and x5 of the bet.
Those are small, fixed numbers, and they explain the Medium rating. The base game can pay back often in modest amounts, while the larger outcomes are left to the bonus. The studio text is cut off partway through its prize symbol rule in the material we hold, so we describe only the payouts it gives clearly.
Three ways into the bonus
The free spins start when three or more scatters land in one spin. There are two shortcuts, and they exclude each other: switching one on disables the other.
Chance x2
A button that doubles the chance of reaching the free spins and slightly increases the bet. It turns off while the Buy Bonus is active.
Buy Bonus
Buys the free spins round at the price shown. The price follows the bet automatically when it changes. It turns off while Chance x2 is active.
Inside the free spins
Here the wilds change role. They appear as chests of gold and collect the values of the prize symbols for payouts. Progress markers beside the reels fill each time a wild lands.
Every fourth wild adds 10 free spins, and the studio says the round can be extended by +30 in total. The added blocks also raise the win multiplier: the first block of 10 applies x2 to every win, the second x3 and the third x10. In practice the third extension is where a round can change size, because it turns every later win tenfold.
That is a conclusion from the rules, not a promise: the progress only counts wilds that actually land, and the source gives no figure for how often that happens.
Maths and the 5,000x ceiling
The listed RTP is 97.2%, so the house edge is 2.8%. Over $1,000 wagered the expected cost is $28. A hundred spins at $0.20 cost about $0.56, at $1 about $2.80 and at $5 about $14.
Our catalogue does not publish a max win for this game. The studio's own spec panel shows a maximum multiplier of x5000, and we pass that on as the studio's figure rather than catalogue data. The volatility label, Medium, is consistent between the sources.
Alternatives with similar numbers
Wild Million from 2025 lists the same 97.2% and Medium volatility. Derby Rush, released in 2026, also shows 97.2%. Arrow is slightly higher at 97.33%, and Reel of Ra sits at 97.02%. The differences between them are small enough that theme and bonus design will matter more than the return.
Pros
- 97.2% RTP with a 2.8% house edge
- Medium volatility, with fixed prize symbol payouts from x0.5 to x5 in the main game
- Free spins can be extended by +30 with multipliers up to x10
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Our catalogue lists no max win; the x5000 figure comes only from studio copy
- The biggest multipliers need a long run of wilds in the free spins
- Part of the prize symbol rules is cut off in our source text
Verdict
Loki Loot splits its value between a modest main game and a free spins round that rewards persistence. The 97.2% RTP and Medium volatility suit people who want some regular action before the bonus arrives, while the x2, x3 and x10 stages give the round room to grow. Remember the 2.8% house edge, and use the free demo to see how the wild counter behaves.
