Wild Card Gang review
The Card Dimension is run by a mafia family, and its soldiers are playing cards. BGaming's 2025 slot sets a gritty crime-drama mood on a 6x6 grid and builds the whole game around merging: low cards are upgraded step by step until they become Aces, and Aces can in turn be merged into Jokers. It is a theme that explains its own maths, which is useful because the volatility is Very high.
Merging cards up the ladder
The studio calls the mechanic MergeUP. Progression follows ordinary card rankings, starting at a lucky Seven and rising through the character cards, the Jack, Queen and King, to the Ace. Because most players already know the order, there is little to learn before the first spin. Wins are described as clusters, and merges are accompanied by voiceovers from the character cards.
The studio describes the 6x6 reels as highly volatile, which matches the Very high rating in our catalogue.
Getting to the Jokers
The Jokers are the way into the Free Spins round, and there are two routes. Either at least four of them land at random in a single spin, or enough Aces are merged into four Jokers within one refilling cycle. The second route is what ties the base game to the bonus.
Free Spins
Four, five or six or more scatters start 15, 18 or 20 free spins. Cells where a winning cluster forms become marked. The next win in a marked cell gives it an x2 multiplier, and the multiplier rises by x2 with each further win there, to a stated top value of x128.
Chance x2
A slight rise in the bet that doubles the chance of triggering the bonus game. It switches off if Buy Bonus is active.
Buy Bonus
A Free Spins round can be bought at the price shown on the button, which follows the bet as it changes. It cannot be active at the same time as Chance x2.
What the numbers say
There is a single RTP of 97.25%, so the house edge is 2.75%. That is about $27.50 lost per $1,000 wagered over a long run. For 100 spins, the average cost is $0.55 at $0.20, $2.75 at $1 and $13.75 at $5, which is $500 wagered.
Neither our catalogue nor the studio text gives a maximum win or a hit frequency, so there is no ceiling to quote. What the pack does show is where the potential sits: marked-cell multipliers exist only in the free spins, so most of the upside is concentrated in a round that has to be triggered first.
Other 2025 BGaming releases
The catalogue lists six games with a similar profile, all from 2025 and all Very high. Wild Wick has the highest RTP at 97.35%, followed by Big Boat Big catch at 97.2%, Backyard Grill, Lucky Turkey and UFO Pyramids at 97.17% and Sakura Riches 60 at 97.16%. Wild Card Gang's 97.25% puts it second from the top of the group.
Pros
- 97.25% RTP, a 2.75% house edge
- Two routes into the free spins, including merging Aces into Jokers
- Marked cells build multipliers up to x128 during free spins
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Very high volatility means long stretches between bonus rounds are possible
- No max win or hit frequency published in catalogue or studio text
- Multipliers apply only in the free spins
Verdict
Wild Card Gang pairs an easy-to-read merge idea with a Very high volatility profile. The 97.25% RTP is a 2.75% house edge, the free spins hold the multipliers, and no maximum win is published. Because the bonus has to be found before the big multipliers matter, budget for stretches without it. Use the free demo to judge the pace before deciding it is worth the money.
