Hot Chilli Bells review
You choose how many lines burn in this 2025 BGaming release: 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100, and the flames in the background grow brighter as the count goes up. Beneath the chilli styling sits a classic structure: expanding wilds in the main game and a Hold & Win bonus built on sticky bells, random multipliers and a progress bar that can double or triple the payout. The RTP is 97%.
Choosing your lines
The line count is the first decision. Five settings are available, from 20 to 100 lines, and the pool of available stakes follows the choice: more lines mean a higher minimum and maximum bet. A win needs two or more of the same symbol on a line, counted from left to right.
An adaptive background reflects the setting, with brighter flames the more lines are active. It can be switched off in the settings for anyone who prefers a calmer screen.
Main game symbols
Three special symbols shape the base game, and each has a distinct job.
Expanding Wild
The hot chilli wild appears on reels 2 to 4. When it drops, it covers its whole reel and helps complete line wins. It substitutes for every symbol except the scatter and the bonus bells, so it cannot help trigger the bonus.
Diamond Scatter
Three or more diamond scatters pay in any position. They are a straight win in the main game and are not linked to the Hold & Win round.
Bonus bell
Each bell carries a value. Six or more in the main game start the Hold & Win bonus, and the bells that triggered it stay in place on the reels for the whole round.
Inside the Hold & Win round
The round begins with 3 respins and only sticky bonus bells on the reels. At the start, 3 multipliers are generated at random and land in empty cells; the possible values are x2 to x5, x10 and x15. If a bell later drops into one of those cells, the multiplier applies to that bell's value. Every new bell resets the respins back to 3. The round ends when the respins run out or every cell is filled with bells.
The progress bar tracks how many bells are on the reels. Collecting 15 doubles the winnings of the round and collecting 20 triples them. Combined with the cell multipliers, a round that keeps refreshing its respins can grow well beyond the sum of its bell values.
Progress bar
Counts the bonus bells as they land. Reaching 15 bells multiplies the round's winnings by x2, and reaching 20 multiplies them by x3.
Cost per session
The game has one RTP on record, 97%, a house edge of 3%. Over a long run that is $30 per $1,000 wagered.
On average, 100 spins cost $0.60 at a $0.20 stake, $3 at $1 and $15 at $5. Our catalogue has no volatility rating and no max win for the game; BGaming's page puts the biggest possible win at 5,000 times the stake, or $5,000 at $1. A Buy Bonus button is always available for direct entry to the Hold & Win round; its price is shown in the game.
Related titles
Hot Chilli Bells 100 and Hot Chilli Bells 100 X-mas, both from 2025, keep the 97% RTP. Several other 2025 BGaming releases share that figure with different risk labels: Burning Chilli 243 is rated Low, while Alice WonderLuck and Fiesta Clusters are rated Very high.
Who it suits
Players who like classic line slots with one clear bonus will find it familiar, and the adjustable lines make it easy to match the stake to a budget. Hold & Win fans will appreciate that the multipliers and the progress bar give the bell round more depth than a plain coin collection.
Pros
- 97% RTP, a 3% house edge
- Line count adjustable from 20 to 100
- Hold & Win multipliers up to x15, plus x2 or x3 for 15 or 20 bells
- Free official demo available
Cons
- No volatility rating in our catalogue
- Expanding wilds do not substitute for bells, so they cannot help trigger the bonus
- The Buy Bonus price is not published outside the game
Verdict
Hot Chilli Bells keeps the base game simple with adjustable lines and expanding chilli wilds, then saves its depth for a Hold & Win round with random multipliers up to x15 and a progress bar that doubles or triples the result. The 97% RTP is a strong point; no volatility rating is published. Try the free demo, then play within a fixed budget, keeping the 3% house edge in view.
