Supersized review
Supersized is a drive-thru nightmare, and Nolimit City plays it as a dark joke about the fast food industry. The mechanics are as unusual as the theme. A 5x5 grid pays by connected ways, a Clone symbol copies whole reels until the board can reach ten of them, and the bonus comes in three tiers named Fat, Fatter and Fattest. The rating is Very high volatility, and the buy menu runs from 3x to 2,000x the bet.
Connected ways on a growing board
There are no paylines. A win needs three or more matching symbols connected from the leftmost reel, horizontally or diagonally. The studio counts 259 ways at the start, on the 5x5 grid.
The board does not stay that size. Winning symbols disappear and new ones fall in, and the special symbols below change what the grid looks like during the spin.
Clone
Copies the reel it lands on and inserts the copy to the right. The cloned area can grow to a maximum of 10 reels. The original Clone symbol becomes dead.
Brown Nudge Delight
An expanding wild that stretches to the right along its row. It does not appear on reel 1.
Press
Removes the symbols beneath it on its reel and becomes a wild at the bottom, unless it is already there.
BIG and WIN
A separate instant-pay mechanic pairs a WIN symbol with BIG symbols. The more BIG symbols land beside the WIN, the larger the prize, with listed steps of 15x, 25x, 50x, 100x and 500x. Six BIG symbols pay the maximum win outright, which is why this is the route to the cap.
Fat, Fatter and Fattest
The scatter symbol is a donut-shaped Fatty, according to the studio. Three Fatty symbols start Fat Spins with 3 spins in the rules sheet, four Bonus symbols start Fatter Spins with 7, and five start Fattest Spins with 9, plus 2 for each extra Fatty on the trigger. The studio's page text gives the first tier as 5 spins instead, so the opening count is uncertain.
In the bonus, the Germinator removes the lowest-paying symbol and adds a spin. If all ten pays are removed, the game awards the maximum. In Fat Spins the cloned area resets to 5 reels each spin, while in Fatter Spins a clone is kept for the next spin if another Clone lands.
The buy menu
Five options are listed. Bonus Booster costs 3x and puts a Fatty on reel 2. Germinator Spin costs 6x and removes the low pays. Germinator Deluxe costs 100x and keeps only the top two pays plus specials. Germinator Ultra costs 1,234x and keeps only the top pay. God Mode costs 2,000x and chases six or more BIG symbols with WIN.
The studio's text places God Mode at 1,234x, but the rules sheet gives that price to Germinator Ultra, so we follow the sheet. The prices rise fast, and the larger ones call for a bankroll to match.
Numbers
The RTP is 96.07%, a house edge of 3.93%, or about $39.30 lost per $1,000 wagered. The hit frequency is 19.66%. For 100 spins, a $0.20 bet costs about $0.79 on average, $1 costs $3.93 and $5 costs $19.65. The cap is 12,345x the bet, worth $2,469 at $0.20, $12,345 at $1 and $61,725 at $5.
Volatility is Very high in the catalogue, and the studio's text rates it 10 out of 10, or Extreme. Other Very high Nolimit City titles include Outsourced 2 - Balkan Engineering at 96.04% and 11,111x, Beheaded at 96.03% and 15,950x, and The Crypt 2 at 96.1% and 31,248x.
Pros
- Clone symbols can grow the board to ten reels
- Three bonus tiers, with a Germinator that strips low pays
- Max win of 12,345x the bet
- Hit frequency of 19.66%
Cons
- Very high volatility, rated Extreme by the studio
- Buy options reach 2,000x the bet
- The first bonus tier is 3 spins in the rules sheet and 5 in the studio's text
- No official free demo is recorded in our data
Verdict
Supersized is a loud, mechanics-heavy Nolimit City release. The RTP is 96.07%, a 3.93% house edge, with Very high volatility and a 12,345x cap. The cloning reels and the Germinator give the bonus tiers real variety, but the swings are large and the biggest buys are costly. Treat it as paid entertainment with a fixed budget, and read the rules before the first spin.
