Starlight Princess Super Scatter review

Starlight Princess Super Scatter is a 2025 sequel from Pragmatic Play that returns to the clouds of the 2021 original. The change is in the scale. The studio now talks about 50,000x for a bonus triggered with Super Scatter symbols, ten times the 5,000x recorded in our catalogue for the first game. Multipliers worth up to 500x also appear in the base game and are added together as tumbles finish.

Multipliers that wait for the end

In the base game, multiplier symbols with values up to 500x can land. The game does not apply them one by one. It waits until the tumbling sequence is over, adds all the multipliers together and applies the total to the whole win.

That gives a spin a clear shape: wins build up through tumbles, then the multipliers settle the final figure. A sequence with no multiplier simply pays its plain value.

Two ways into the bonus

Four or more scatters trigger the bonus game. There is also a second route, the Super Scatter, which changes how the round is rewarded.

Regular scatters

Landing four or more scatters opens the bonus game. Inside it, multiplier symbols that hit on a winning tumble are added to a running total, and that total is applied to the win.

Super Scatter

One to four Super Scatter symbols trigger the bonus and the studio ties them to results from 100x to 50,000x. The studio does not say how the number of Super Scatters maps onto that range.

Running total versus end-of-sequence sum

The two parts of the game use the same arithmetic in different ways. In the base game multipliers are summed once, at the end of a tumble chain. In the bonus the value is added to a running total each time a multiplier lands on a winning tumble, and that total is applied to that win, so it keeps carrying forward.

A conclusion from that: the longer the bonus runs, the more weight the running total has. It also means the bonus holds most of the large figures. Our catalogue lists no max win or volatility label for the game, and the studio does not name the volatility.

RTP, cost and the original

The RTP is 96.5%, a 3.5% house edge, so each $1,000 wagered costs about $35 on average. In 100-spin sessions the average loss is $0.70 at $0.20, $3.50 at $1 and $17.50 at $5 ($500 staked).

The original Starlight Princess from 2021 shares the 96.5% RTP and is listed with a 5,000x max win. That makes the headline difference between the two games the top prize and the Super Scatter, not the long-run cost. Similar 2025 titles at 96.5% include 5 Lions Megaways 2 (8,000x) and Alien Invaders (5,000x).

Pros

  • Base-game multipliers up to 500x, summed at the end of each tumbling sequence
  • Super Scatter bonus range of 100x to 50,000x per the studio
  • Same 96.5% RTP as the 2021 original
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • No volatility label or max win in our catalogue; 50,000x is the studio's figure
  • Large outcomes depend on the bonus game

Verdict

Starlight Princess Super Scatter keeps the original's RTP of 96.5% and raises the ceiling, with a studio-quoted 50,000x for Super Scatter bonuses. The 3.5% house edge is the same as before, so the extra potential does not come with a lower long-run cost. Because volatility is unpublished, treat the pace as unknown until you have tried the demo, and size stakes by the average cost per session rather than by the top prize.
