5 Lions Reborn review
The 2018 original, 5 Lions, lists the same 96.5% RTP. Reborn is a 2025 follow-up on a five-reel 243-ways layout. The unusual part is how the bonus is reached: three kinds of scatter exist, and two of them can start a bonus on their own. The round itself revolves around a wild multiplier that rises whenever a win includes a wild.
243 ways and a limited wild
Wins pay from left to right on adjacent reels, over a maximum of 243 ways. The Wild substitutes for all symbols, according to the studio, and it can land only on reels two, three and four. There are no tumbles, respins or expanding reels, so the base game is straightforward and the interest lies in the scatters.
Three scatters, three routes in
Scatter symbols can land on any reel. The three types do different jobs.
Scatter
Three or more scatters of any type, counted from the leftmost reel, trigger the free spins.
Golden Scatter
Each time one lands in the base game, it can randomly trigger the free spins by itself.
Super Scatter
Each time one lands in the base game, it can randomly trigger Super Free Spins, a stronger version of the round.
Inside the free spins
The studio says that winning combinations containing wilds raise the wild multiplier during the bonus and can award 1 to 3 additional free spins. So a wild does two jobs here, because it grows the multiplier and extends the round.
Super Free Spins begins with 20 free spins and a 15x multiplier. The round ends early if its total win reaches 5,000x the bet. In that case the win is paid and any remaining spins are forfeited.
Buying the bonus
The free spins can be bought for 80x the total bet, with three scatters placed on the triggering spin. Super Free Spins costs 500x and starts with a Super Scatter on the triggering spin.
