Crystal Clusters review

BGaming's 2025 cluster slot goes underground. Glowing gems collide on a 7x7 grid, winning clusters collapse, and the cells they occupied are marked with multipliers that grow every time the same cell wins again. In the free spins those multipliers stop disappearing and become sticky. The design is clear about its priorities: the multiplier is the star, and the bonus is where it lasts. The listed RTP is 96.5% and the volatility label is Very high.

Clusters and cell multipliers

Wins come from clusters of matching gems. When a cluster pays, it collapses and new symbols cascade into place. The cells where a win happened are marked, and a marked cell carries a multiplier that starts at x2 and grows as the same cell wins again, up to a maximum of x128.

Multipliers apply to every win they take part in, and when several are involved their values are combined. In the main game they last until the refill sequence is complete and disappear on the next spin. That limited lifespan is exactly what the free spins change.

Scatters and free spins

Scatters can land anywhere, though each reel holds only one. Three scatters start the free spins with 10 spins, four give 12, five give 15, six give 20 and seven give 30.

During the round, marked cells and their multipliers stay in place. The bonus can also be retriggered: three or more scatters landing in the round add extra spins on the same scale of 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30, depending on the scatter count. A longer round gives the sticky multipliers more spins in which to grow.

Cell Multiplier

Winning clusters mark cells and attach a multiplier starting at x2, rising with each new win on the same cell to a maximum of x128. Overlapping multipliers are combined. In the main game they vanish on the next spin; in the free spins they persist.

RTP and cost

Crystal Clusters has one RTP on record, 96.5%, a house edge of 3.5% and about $35 lost per $1,000 wagered. On average, 100 spins cost $0.70 at a $0.20 bet, $3.50 at $1 and $17.50 at $5.

The catalogue does not publish a max win for this game, and the studio text we hold does not state one. Without that figure, the x128 cell ceiling is the biggest number available, but it describes a single cell and not the total win from a spin.

Games with matching numbers

All the similar games listed are Very high. Clash of Gods Power Duel lists the same 96.5% from 2026. From 2025, Olympus TRUEWAYS and Tramp Day TRUEWAYS list 96.7%, Wild Clusters 96.71%, Dragon Queen MEGAWAYS 96.75% and Clucking Hell 96.23%. Crystal Clusters is below the 96.7% to 96.75% games in that group and above Clucking Hell.

Pros

  • Cell multipliers climb to x128
  • Multipliers become sticky in the free spins
  • Free spins range from 10 to 30 depending on the scatter count
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • No max win in the catalogue or the studio text
  • Multipliers disappear on the next spin in the main game
  • Very high volatility with a 3.5% house edge

Verdict

Crystal Clusters is a focused multiplier game: cells grow to x128, then stay sticky in the free spins. The 96.5% RTP and Very high volatility are close to the games listed beside it, but without a published max win the upside is harder to size. A 3.5% house edge applies to every spin, so try the free demo to see how quickly the multipliers build.
