Sugar Rush 1000 review
Sugar Rush 1000 is built on a single rule: the grid remembers where symbols have exploded. Every position that has paid becomes a marked spot, and spots that pay again start to carry multipliers that double up to 1024x. Pragmatic Play released it in 2024 on a seven by seven board, and in the free spins those marks stay on screen for the whole round.
Seven by seven, clusters of five
A win needs a cluster of five or more connected symbols on the 7x7 grid. Winning symbols vanish, the rest fall, and new ones drop in from above. Tumbling continues until nothing pays, and there is no payout until the whole chain of a base spin is over, when the total goes onto the balance.
How the spot multipliers grow
The Multiplier Spots Feature is the heart of the game. Instead of attaching a multiplier to a symbol, the game attaches it to a place on the board, which is why the length of a tumble sequence matters so much.
Marking a spot
Whenever a winning symbol explodes, it marks its position on the grid. Nothing is added at that moment. The mark is only a record that a symbol was removed from that exact cell.
Doubling to 1024x
After a second symbol explodes on the same spot, a multiplier of 2x appears there. Each further explosion on top doubles it, up to 1024x. The value applies to every winning combination that includes that spot, and if a combination covers several multiplied spots, their values are added together.
Base game versus free spins
In the base game the marked spots and their multipliers last only until a point set out in the rules. During free spins they remain until the round finishes and can keep growing with further tumbles across all of the spins.
Free spins and the buy options
Three, four, five, six or seven scatters anywhere award 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 free spins. The same counts during the round add the same number of extra spins, so a long round is possible. The rules also mention special reels in play during the feature.
The round can be bought from the base game. Paying 100 times the bet opens the normal free spins; paying 500 times opens the Super Free Spins, where a 2x multiplier is already placed on every spot on the grid. On a bought round the scatter count, from three to seven, is chosen at random.
Two RTP figures
Our catalogue lists an RTP of 96%, which is a house edge of 4% and $40 lost per $1,000 wagered on average. The studio's rules PDF, however, gives a theoretical RTP of 95.5%. Both are published, and the PDF is the more formal source, so the lower number is worth keeping in mind. The cost figures here use the catalogue value.
At 100 spins, the average loss is $0.80 at a $0.20 bet, $4 at $1 and $20 at $5. The win limit is 25,000 times the bet: $5,000, $25,000 or $125,000 at those three stakes. Volatility is not published. A free demo is available.
Related games
The only earlier game in the series is Sugar Rush, from 2022, with 96.5% and a 5,000x max win. Sweet Bonanza 1000, another 2024 release, shares the 25,000x ceiling at 96.53%. Gates of Hades (2025) lists 96.52% and 10,000x, and Sugar Rush Xmas, from 2023, lists 96.5% with 5,000x.
Pros
- Spot multipliers double up to 1024x, and several stack within a single win
- Marked spots and multipliers persist through the whole free spins round
- Up to 30 free spins for seven scatters, with the same counts as retriggers
- Free official demo is available
Cons
- Two RTP figures are published, 96% and 95.5%
- No volatility rating is published
- The Super Free Spins buy costs 500 times the bet
Verdict
Sugar Rush 1000 rewards patience with long tumble chains rather than a single big symbol. Its mechanic is simple to describe and the 25,000x ceiling is high, but the RTP is stated as 96% in the catalogue and 95.5% in the rules PDF, so the house edge could be larger than the headline 4%. Volatility is not published, which makes the free demo the sensible first step.
