Walk of Shame review

Walk of Shame is Nolimit City's take on the morning after. A host called Mr. E runs a house party, the guests are the high-paying symbols, and the bonus rounds are named One More!!! and All Nighter. The comedy is in the theme, but the mechanics are practical: a 4x multiplier wild, a feature that drags that wild across the board and a bonus that gets stronger when Mr. E turns up.

The party grid and 768 ways

The reels are 3-4-4-4-4 rows tall, which gives 768 ways to win on every spin, counted from the left. A high-paying character that fills an entire reel on reels 2 to 5 turns into a Loaded Wild with a fixed 4x multiplier.

Mr. E also appears in the base game as a scatter. There he becomes an xSplit symbol, which splits a row or a reel to multiply the active ways. The studio text mentions tumbling reels, but the rules summary and our catalogue list no tumbles, so the claim is not confirmed here.

Walk of Shame

When Mr. E lands together with a Loaded Wild on reel 3, 4 or 5, the Loaded Wild takes one step left on every following spin until it reaches reel 2. It is the feature that gives the game its name, and it keeps a 4x wild moving across the board.

One More!!! and All Nighter

Invitation scatters open the bonus. The count decides the length, and Mr. E decides the tier.

One More!!!

Three Invitations give 10 free spins and four give 15. Every Loaded Wild that lands adds +1 to the win multiplier for the rest of the round. Further Invitations retrigger the round with 1, 3, 5 or 7 more spins.

All Nighter

The upgraded round. It starts when Invitations land with Mr. E, or when Mr. E arrives during One More!!!. The same 10 or 15 spins apply, Mr. E stays sticky as an xSplit for the whole feature and the Walk of Shame can occur. The sheet also lists 3 extra spins when Mr. E upgrades a round.

Buying the bonus

A Nolimit Bonus Buy is available, with prices from 69x to 314x the bet depending on the option. The catalogue lists no ante bet. At a $1 bet the range is $69 to $314 for access to the bonus.

Maths for a Medium-rated game

The RTP is 96.04%. The house edge is 3.96%, or $39.60 per $1,000 wagered. Over 100 spins, the average cost is $0.79 at a $0.20 bet, $3.96 at $1 and $19.80 at $5. The hit frequency is 30.78%.

The cap is 9,822x the bet, called Happily ever after: $1,964.40 at $0.20, $9,822 at $1 and $49,110 at $5. Our data lists no official free demo for this game.

Siblings in the Medium band

Roadkill and Benji Killed In Vegas both list 96.04%, with caps of 11,091x and 10,000x. Kiss My Chainsaw is at 96.1% and 10,900x, Space Donkey at 96.07% and 14,649x, Breakout at 96.07% and 20,000x, and The Cage at 96.05% and 25,000x. Walk of Shame has the lowest cap of the group.

Pros

  • 768 ways on every spin
  • Loaded Wilds carry a fixed 4x and add +1 to the win multiplier in the bonus
  • Two bonus tiers with 10 or 15 spins
  • High 30.78% hit frequency

Cons

  • The lowest cap, 9,822x, among its closest Nolimit peers
  • Bonus buy prices from 69x to 314x are not small
  • Studio text and catalogue disagree about tumbling reels
  • No official free demo listed

Verdict

Walk of Shame is a Medium-volatility Nolimit game that rewards understanding its parts: Loaded Wilds, a moving wild and a two-tier bonus. The 96.04% RTP leaves a 3.96% house edge, and a 30.78% hit frequency suggests frequent small returns. The 9,822x cap is lower than all of its closest alternatives, so it suits a patient budget rather than a chase.
