Money Stacks review

Money Stacks, a 2024 Pragmatic Play release, combines two ideas that usually live in separate games. Line-style wins pay across 4,096 ways, while cash symbols with fixed prize values wait for a collector on the outer reels. The free spins come in two flavours, one built around multiplier wilds that widen the ways and one where only cash and collect symbols land.

Ways, wilds and scatter pays

Wins form across 4,096 ways, counted from left to right on adjacent reels. The wild can land on reels 2 to 6 and replaces any symbol except the scatter, the money symbol and the collect symbol.

Scatters appear on every reel and pay on their own: three return 1x the total bet, four return 2x, five return 3x and six return 5x. Those are modest amounts; the scatter's main purpose is the bonus.

Cash on the reels

The money symbol is what gives the game its name. Each one takes a random value when it lands, chosen from a set that runs from 0.5x to 20x the total bet in steps such as 2.5x, 7x and 15x. Three special values sit above that range: Minor at 25x, Major at 250x and Grand at 2,500x the total bet.

Money symbols do nothing alone. They pay only when a collect symbol lands on the same spin.

Collect symbol

Appears only on reels 1 and 6. When it hits on a spin that also shows money symbols, it awards the combined value of every money symbol on screen. Two collect symbols on the same spin each collect the full set, so the total is paid twice.

Two kinds of free spins

Three to six scatters anywhere trigger the bonus, and before it starts the type of round can be chosen. During the round, two to six scatters retrigger it for 5, 8, 12, 20 or 30 more spins.

The multiplier wild version is the one fully described in the rules. The studio's page adds that six scatters open seven Money Blitz spins, where the reels carry only cash and collect symbols. The detailed rules for that mode are cut off in our source, so we stop at the studio's summary.

Random wild multipliers

Three, four, five or six scatters award 8, 12, 20 or 30 free spins. Each wild in the round carries a random x2, x3 or x5. Rather than multiplying a win directly, the multiplier sets how many symbols the wild counts as, which adds ways to every combination it joins.

Money Blitz spins

According to the studio, landing six scatters gives seven spins in which only cash and collect symbols appear. With nothing else on the reels, every spin is about money values meeting a collector, which is where the jackpot-labelled values become relevant.

Ante bet and bonus buy

The standard bet multiplier is 20x. Switching to 40x triples the chance of triggering free spins naturally by adding scatters to the reels, but it doubles the cost of every spin and turns off the buy option.

Without the ante, the bonus can be bought at four prices tied to the starting scatter count: 80x the total bet for at least three scatters, 120x for at least four, 200x for at least five and 240x for all six. Buying a bigger start costs proportionally more and does not change the game's long-run return.

Return, edge and limits

Money Stacks lists a single RTP of 96.55%, so the house keeps 3.45% on average, about $34.50 per $1,000 wagered. A 100-spin session costs about $0.69 at $0.20, $3.45 at $1 and $17.25 at $5 on average.

Wins are capped at 5,000x the bet: $1,000 at $0.20 and $25,000 at $5. The Grand value of 2,500x is half of that cap on its own. No volatility rating is published in our data.

Money Stacks Megaways, also from 2024, lists 96.52%. Similar numbers appear on Bandit Megaways from 2025 at 96.55% with a 5,000x cap, 7 Clovers of Fortune from 2024 at 96.47% with 4,454x, and Extra Juicy Megaways from 2022 at 96.42%, rated High.

Pros

  • Cash values up to a 2,500x Grand, paid by collect symbols on reels 1 and 6
  • Choice of free spins modes, with wild multipliers that add ways
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • Ante bet doubles the cost per spin
  • Bonus buys cost from 80x to 240x the total bet
  • Money Blitz rules are only summarised in our source
  • No published volatility rating

Verdict

Money Stacks layers cash-and-collect mechanics over a 4,096-ways base game and lets you choose between multiplier-wild free spins and a cash-only Money Blitz round. Its RTP is 96.55%, and the 5,000x cap applies to everything. With an ante that doubles the stake and buys up to 240x, costs can climb quickly. Try the free demo, and remember the 3.45% house edge applies whichever option you pick.
