Bandit Megaways review

Bandit Megaways is a 2025 tumbling slot built on a six-reel Megaways layout with up to 117,649 ways to win. Its most interesting part sits above the reels: a top row that spins on its own. The real action, though, is the multiplier symbol. Values run from 2x up to 500x, they are added together after every tumble sequence, and in the free spins the total builds up and stays.

A variable grid with a spinning top row

Reels one and six can show up to 7 symbols. Reels two to five can show up to 6, with an extra symbol on the top row. That top row spins separately, moving from right to left. In total, the maximum number of ways is 117,649, and wins are made from left to right across adjacent reels, with combinations of any size counting.

After a win, the tumble feature clears the winning symbols and fills the gaps from above. New symbols keep the size of the initial result, so the layout does not change during a chain. Tumbling goes on until no new win appears, and all wins are credited after the last tumble.

The multiplier symbol

The multiplier symbol can land on any reel, during spins and tumbles, in the base game and in the free spins. Once it hits, it stays in place until all tumbles end. Each one takes a random value from this list: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x and 500x.

When the sequence ends, the values of all multiplier symbols on screen are added together, and the total is used to multiply the win of that sequence. Several small values can therefore combine into a large factor.

Free spins that remember

Four, five or six scatters anywhere on the screen award 15, 20 or 25 free spins. Inside the round, a multiplier symbol that lands on a winning spin adds its value to a running total, and that total multiplies the win whenever any new multiplier symbol hits on a win. The total lasts for the whole round, which is where the large results are built.

Three, four, five or six scatters during the round add 15, 20, 25 or 30 more spins. Special reels are in play during the feature, but the text we hold does not describe them.

Buying in

The free spins can be bought for 100x the current total bet, and four, five or six scatters hit at random on the triggering spin. Super Free Spins costs 500x and raises the minimum multiplier value to 10x. There is no ante option, so these are the only paid shortcuts.

The numbers

The game has a single RTP on record, 96.55%. The house edge is 3.45%, and the average loss is about $34.50 per $1,000 wagered. No volatility label is published. In 100 spins the average cost is $0.69 at a $0.20 bet, $3.45 at $1 and $17.25 at $5, which means $500 wagered.

The max win is 5,000x the bet, equal to $1,000, $5,000 and $25,000 at those stakes. Ancient Island Megaways from 2025 lists the same 96.55% with 10,000x, and 5 Lions Megaways 2 from 2025 lists 96.5% and 8,000x. Madame Destiny Megaways and Buffalo King Megaways, both from 2021, list 96.56% and 96.52% with 5,000x. Extra Juicy Megaways from 2022 is rated High at 96.42%.

Pros

  • Up to 117,649 ways with tumbling wins
  • Multiplier symbols from 2x to 500x, added together after each sequence
  • Free spins build a running multiplier total for the whole round
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • No volatility label is published
  • Max win of 5,000x is half that of Ancient Island Megaways
  • Buying free spins costs 100x, Super Free Spins 500x

Verdict

Bandit Megaways is a good example of a multiplier-first design. The grid and tumbles are standard, while the 2x to 500x multiplier symbols, summed after every sequence and carried through the free spins, make the round the centre of the game. The 96.55% RTP means a 3.45% house edge, and the 5,000x cap limits the top end. With no volatility published, start with the free demo.
