Gluttony review

Gluttony turns the food pyramid upside down and feeds it to a very large diner customer. Behind the crude joke, Nolimit City introduces xZone, a mechanic that multiplies everything around a symbol, and a free spins menu graded by the colour of the bells that trigger it. Silver gets you a starter; gold moves you up to doubled or quadrupled rounds, or to FEDCON 1, a level-based feast.

Twenty-five seats at the table

The board has five reels of five rows, and wins count as ways from the left. The studio page puts the full count at 3,125 ways. Hit frequency is 25.27%, so about one spin in four returns something.

Two mechanics change what a win is worth rather than whether it happens.

xZone and XZ-Sauce

An xZone adds 1 to the multiplier of every adjacent symbol, vertically, horizontally and diagonally. A cluster of paying symbols around it all gain that boost at once. In FEDCON 1 the sauce version works only on the inner part of the board.

Wild Pot

A Wild that collects nearby food symbols to build its own multiplier, adding 1 for a low symbol and 2 for a mid symbol according to the rules. After it collects, it stays sticky through the next avalanche. In the free spins it appears on reels 2 to 5.

The bell menu

Bell Scatters come in silver and gold, and the mix of three decides the round. Three Silver Bells serve 8 Order Up! spins. One Golden and two Silver give 10 Double Up! spins that start with a x2 multiplier. Two Golden and one Silver give 12 Quadruple Up! spins starting at x4. Three Golden Bells go straight to FEDCON 1 with 6 spins.

Golden Bells landing during a round keep upgrading it: each adds 2 spins and doubles the multiplier, and once the round has reached x4, another Golden Bell moves it into FEDCON 1 with 6 more spins. Order Up! offers no other retrigger, so the gold upgrades are how a modest round grows.

FEDCON 1: eating through the levels

This top round changes how wins are counted. The Fat Bastard character takes the centre of the board and wins come through him. He levels up as winnings accumulate, reaching levels 2 to 5 at thresholds the rules give as 20, 30, 40 and 50 weighted wins. Each level adds 2 spins, raises his multiplier by 1 and triggers a respin.

A Golden Bell on the outer ring doubles the outer area, while XZ-Sauce and Wild Pots follow their inner-board rules here. The design rewards long rounds: the more levels gained, the more spins and the higher the multiplier for whatever comes next.

Bill for the meal

The single listed RTP is 96.09%, a house edge of 3.91%. Over a long run that comes to about $39.10 on every $1,000 bet. A 100-spin session averages $0.78 at $0.20, $3.91 at $1 and $19.55 at $5.

Our catalogue gives the volatility as High, while the studio page rates it Extreme. The 32,000x cap, named Heart Attack, equals $6,400 at a $0.20 stake and $160,000 at $5. The Nolimit Bonus Buy prices the features between 100x and 1,000x the bet; the pack gives no figure for each round. The studio page also mentions an xBet option placing a Scatter on reel 2, which the rules in our source do not list.

No sequels are listed. Evil Goblins xBomb lists 96.14% with a 31,969x cap, and True Grit Redemption 2 lists 96.07% with 34,000x, both rated High.

Who should pull up a chair

Gluttony fits players who like a bonus with visible progress: the bell colours tell you at once how strong a round starts, and the FEDCON levels show how far a feast has gone. The base game pays roughly one spin in four, which softens the wait slightly. Players who dislike crude humour or who want short, simple sessions are better served elsewhere, and anyone tempted by the Bonus Buy should price it against their whole budget first.

Pros

  • xZone boosts every neighbouring symbol at once
  • Golden Bells upgrade a running round, up to FEDCON 1
  • Quadruple Up! starts 12 spins at x4
  • FEDCON 1 adds spins and multiplier with each level

Cons

  • Volatility is High in our data but Extreme from the studio
  • Order Up! has no retrigger beyond Golden Bell upgrades
  • Bonus Buy prices range up to 1,000x the bet
  • Crude theme will not suit everyone

Verdict

Gluttony gives its free spins a clear ladder, from silver Order Up! through doubled and quadrupled rounds to FEDCON 1, with Golden Bells able to push a round upward as it plays. xZone and Wild Pots add multipliers along the way. The 96.09% RTP means a 3.91% house edge, and volatility is High in our catalogue and Extreme per the studio. Enjoy the menu, but decide on the bill beforehand.
