Golden Genie And The Walking Wilds review
The genie in the lamp is the oldest wish-granting story there is, and Nolimit City builds a 5x3 slot around it with Aladdin, lamps and golden palaces. What gives this version its character is movement. In the main bonus, wild genies walk one step to the left on every spin, adding to their multiplier as they go. Two random modifiers in the base game keep ordinary spins from standing still.
Random modifiers in the base game
The slot pays by matching symbols on paylines across a 5x3 layout. The rules do not print the number of lines. Two modifiers can change any spin, and both are separate from the bonus.
Genie Wishes
Triggers when Aladdin lines up with a lamp on the grid. Every Aladdin and lamp symbol then turns wild, and each wild gets a random multiplier from 2x to 10x. The more of them on screen, the more chances to connect.
Genie Lamps
A random event that can strike on any main game spin. Reels 2 and 4 become fully wild, and all winning combinations pay in both directions, which opens more paths to a payout.
Genie Parade: wilds on the move
Three Genie symbols start Genie Parade. Instead of a fixed number of free spins, the round carries on as long as at least one Genie is still visible on the reels. Each spin, the Genie Wilds walk one position to the left, and their multiplier goes up by one for every step.
When a Golden Genie leaves the grid, its accumulated multiplier passes once to another active Genie Wild. The effect is that a multiplier does not simply vanish at the edge of the screen; it can be handed on. The round ends when no Genie remains or when the max win is reached.
The studio also mentions a bonus buy for Genie Parade, but the price is not printed in the material we hold.
Genie Parade
Triggered by three Genie scatters. Genie Wilds step left each spin and gain +1 to their multiplier per step. The round lasts while a Genie is visible, and a leaving Golden Genie hands its multiplier to another Genie Wild once.
Where the money sits
The catalogue lists an RTP of 96.03%, a house edge of 3.97% and about $39.70 lost per $1,000 wagered. The rules sheet also mentions 94.11%, another published version an operator may run. It splits the 96.03% into 55.67% from the main game and 40.36% from the bonus, so the base modifiers carry the larger share.
Hit frequency is 33.91%, meaning roughly one spin in three pays. The bonus arrives about once in 190 spins, and a win of 100x about once in 767. A hundred spins cost $0.79 on average at $0.20, $3.97 at $1 and $19.85 at $5.
Ceiling and volatility label
The maximum win is 9,583x the bet: $1,916.60 at $0.20, $9,583 at $1 and $47,915 at $5. Our catalogue rates the game Low volatility, while the studio's page text describes a High rating, so the two sources disagree. The frequent small wins fit the catalogue's reading; the size of the ceiling fits the studio's.
Other Low volatility games
Gaelic Gold lists 96.15% and 9,837x, Warrior Graveyard xNudge 96.16% and 9,797x, and Poison Eve 96.08% and 6,091x. Coins of Fortune has 96.48% and 6,015x. Barbarian Fury is rated Medium at 96.06% with 8,785x.
Pros
- Hit frequency of 33.91%, around one winning spin in three
- Walking wilds gain +1 multiplier per step and can hand it on
- Max win of 9,583x, or $9,583 at a $1 bet
- Bonus buy available
Cons
- The bonus arrives about once in 190 spins
- Sources disagree on volatility: Low in the catalogue, High on the studio page
- No free demo listed in our catalogue
Verdict
Golden Genie And The Walking Wilds mixes frequent base-game modifiers with a bonus where wilds walk across the screen and carry their multipliers. The RTP is 96.03%, a house edge of 3.97%, the cap is 9,583x and the catalogue rates volatility Low while the studio says High. A one-in-190 bonus means most sessions are spent in the base game, so set a budget you are comfortable with.
