Das xBoot review
Shaped like the hull of a submarine, the reels of Das xBoot run two, three, four, four, three and two positions high. Nolimit City sets the game around lost Second World War gold sunk in the deep, where, as the studio puts it, the hunters can easily become the prey. Three of the studio's own mechanics drive the base game, two bonus modes of eight spins follow, and the top prize is 55,200x the bet.
Reading the hull-shaped grid
Six reels with heights of 2-3-4-4-3-2 make the middle of the screen the busiest area. Wins are counted as ways from left to right, so matching symbols on neighbouring reels connect regardless of row. The game sheet does not print the exact number of base ways, and several features change the shape anyway.
Hit frequency is published at 22.17%, so a little over one spin in five pays something. Many spins return nothing, which fits a design where much of the value arrives through multipliers rather than through a steady drip of small wins.
Three engines in the base game
Each of these features can appear on any base-game spin, and all of them carry over into the bonuses in some form.
xNudge Wild
A wild four rows tall. If it lands partly off-screen, it nudges until it is fully visible, and every step of that nudge adds +1 to its wild multiplier. A wild that starts mostly hidden therefore arrives with a bigger multiplier than one that lands in full view, which turns an awkward landing into a useful one.
xWays
When this symbol lands it reveals two or three copies of the same symbol in one position, adding ways on that reel. If several xWays land on one spin, they all show the same kind of symbol, so their effects stack on a single symbol type rather than splitting across many.
xBomb Wild
Acts as a wild and then explodes, clearing every non-winning symbol from the grid. New symbols drop into the gaps, and the win multiplier rises by +1 before the next collapse. Because the multiplier grows with each explosion, a spin with several xBomb Wilds can build value across a chain of collapses.
Silent Hunter or Wolf Pack
Bonus scatters decide which mode you reach. Both last 8 spins, and in both an xBomb Wild awards a win multiplier that stays sticky for the rest of the feature.
Three scatters give Silent Hunter Spins. Reel 3 grows to 8 rows high for the whole round. A Periscope Wild can appear on that tall reel; when it is part of a win, it extends to the top of the reel and then nudges down, adding to the multiplier with every step downward. The raised multiplier stays for the remaining spins.
Four scatters give Wolf Pack Spins. Here, xWays Wilds count as torpedo parts. Collecting four parts completes a torpedo, and each full launch adds +1 to the win multiplier. Combined with sticky xBomb multipliers, a round that collects torpedoes early has more spins in which to benefit from them.
Either mode ends after its 8 spins, or immediately if the total reaches the 55,200x cap, which the studio names Das Gold Des Roter Teufel. Nolimit City estimates the cap at about 1 in 64 million spins.
Buying into a mode
The Nolimit Bonus Buy offers entry to the Silent Hunter or Wolf Pack variants at prices between 75x and 350x the bet. The game sheet gives only that range, not a price per mode. At those costs, one purchase can cost more than many sessions of normal play, and its result is just as uncertain as a triggered round.
Costs and odds
The catalogue RTP is 96.03%, leaving a 3.97% house edge, or about $39.70 per $1,000 staked over the long run. A lower 94.04% setting is also listed on the sheet, so check which one applies. At the main figure, 100 spins cost on average $0.79 at $0.20, $3.97 at $1 and $19.85 at $5.
The sheet splits the return into 59.74% from the base game and 36.29% from free spins. A bonus arrives about once in 211 spins, and a win of 100x or more about once in 635. The 55,200x ceiling equals $11,040 at a $0.20 bet.
Our catalogue rates volatility as High, while the description on the studio's page calls it Extreme; either way, results swing hard.

No free demo is listed in our data, so the official rules are the best preparation, and a firm budget is essential.

Verdict
Das xBoot packs three signature mechanics into a hull-shaped grid and offers two eight-spin bonuses: a tall middle reel with a Periscope Wild, or a torpedo hunt that stacks multipliers. The RTP is 96.03% with a 3.97% house edge, volatility is rated High, and the 55,200x cap is extremely rare. Treat it as costly entertainment with strict limits.
