Brick House Bonanza review
Brick House Bonanza builds its bonus around a simple idea: positions on the board are marked, and the marks get stronger. A scatter that lands on a clean position leaves a square of straw. Land there again and the square becomes wood, then brick. Pragmatic Play released the game in 2025 with 243 ways, a six-scatter trigger for the free spins and a separate Wheel Bonus symbol that opens several other features.
The base game
The grid pays 243 ways, counted left to right across adjacent reels. A wild can appear on reels two, three and four and replaces every symbol except the scatter and the Wheel Bonus. Scatters can land on any reel.
The Wheel Bonus symbol is the second trigger in the game. According to the studio, landing three or more of them starts separate features, among them enlarged scatters, upgraded marked positions and free spins. The same symbol can also award one of four random jackpots.
Straw, wood and brick
The free spins need six or more scatters, a demanding trigger. The round starts with six free spins. At the start, every position that held a triggering scatter is marked with a square made of straw.
During the round, each new scatter marks its position with straw if it is clean. If the position is already marked, the mark is upgraded step by step, from straw to wood and then to brick. The rules also describe what happens when a scatter lands on a position that is already brick, but the text we hold is cut off at that point, so we do not state it. The rules also mention R symbols that retrigger the round for one additional free spin.
Marked positions
Squares of straw, wood or brick show how many times a position has been hit by a scatter. They persist through the round and upgrade each time another scatter lands there.
Buying the Wheel Bonus
The game has a buy option for the Wheel Bonus. The rules list the RTP when using it as 96.50%, the same as the standard figure, so buying does not change the theoretical return. The price is not given in the material we hold.
Return and money terms
RTP is 96.5%, a house edge of 3.5%, or about $35 lost per $1,000 wagered. Our catalogue does not carry a volatility rating. A hundred spins cost $0.70 on average at $0.20, $3.50 at $1 and $17.50 at $5. The maximum win is limited to 10,000x the bet, which is $2,000, $10,000 and $50,000 at those three stakes, and a round ends immediately once it is reached.
Similar games
Our catalogue lists no direct sequels. By the numbers, Brick House Bonanza resembles other 2025 Pragmatic Play releases: Anaconda Gold at 96.54% and 10,000x, Ancient Island Megaways at 96.55% and 10,000x, 5 Lions Megaways 2 at 96.5% and 8,000x, and Bandit Megaways at 96.55% and 5,000x. A free official demo is available for trying the marked-position system.
Pros
- A progressive marking system (straw, wood, brick) that is easy to picture
- Two routes into bonus features: scatters and the Wheel Bonus symbol
- Buying the Wheel Bonus carries the same stated RTP of 96.5%
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Six scatters are needed for the free spins
- No volatility rating is published in our catalogue
- The buy price and part of the marking rules are not stated in the material we hold
Verdict
Brick House Bonanza has a clear central idea and a modest set of numbers: 96.5% RTP, a 3.5% house edge and a 10,000x cap. The progression from straw to brick gives the free spins something to build towards, while the Wheel Bonus adds a second path. Since volatility is not published, try the free demo first and treat real play as paid entertainment, at about $3.50 per 100 spins at a $1 bet.
