Wild Wild Riches review
In this Irish-luck slot from 2020, wilds do more than substitute. Pragmatic Play confines them to the first two reels, and when both reels show one, they act as a key that collects every money symbol joined to them along a pay way, from 1x cash prizes to a 500x Mega jackpot.
576 ways, two wild reels
Wins are counted across 576 ways from left to right. The wild appears only on reels 1 and 2 and substitutes for every symbol except the bonus and money symbols. The bonus symbol lives on reel 3 alone, while money symbols appear on reels 3, 4 and 5.
That split defines the game: the left side of the grid provides the keys, the right side provides the prizes. A spin with wilds on reels 1 and 2 is the moment to watch. The dressing is a magical Irish realm with pots of gold, but the mechanics are what set it apart.
The Money Collect feature
Each spin, every money symbol takes a random value from a fixed set. When wilds land on reels 1 and 2 and money symbols sit next to them on reels 3, 4 or 5, forming a left-to-right pay way, the values of all of them are collected.
Money Symbol
Shows a direct cash award of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 15x or 25x the total bet. Some carry a jackpot instead: Mini at 50x, Major at 100x and Mega at 500x the total bet, which the studio places on reel five.
Collect multipliers
Reel five can also show a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x. It applies to the total win of the collect feature, so a multiplier joined to a way full of money symbols scales the whole haul rather than a single prize.
Ten spins, unlimited retriggers
The free spins use the same key. Wilds on reels 1 and 2 together with the bonus symbol on reel 3 award 10 free spins. Special reels are used during the round, with more wilds and money symbols on the strips, and the Money Collect feature stays active.
Repeating the same combination during the round adds another 10 spins, and the studio sets no limit on how often that can happen. More wilds and more money symbols mean collects should come more often than in the base game, which is where the round gets its value.
Ante bet
An optional ante raises the bet multiplier by 20%, to 30x the bet per line. In exchange, two wilds on reels 1 and 2 land more often, which raises the chance of both the collect feature and the free spins. There is no option to buy the bonus outright.
Ante Bet
Costs 20% extra on every spin. It improves the odds of the two-wild combination that drives both features. Because it changes the price of each spin, it suits players who want more feature activity and accept a larger outlay per spin.
The return in numbers
The RTP is 96.77% with no alternative versions, a house edge of 3.23%. That is roughly $32.30 lost per $1,000 wagered over time.
On average, 100 spins cost $0.65 at $0.20, $3.23 at $1 and $16.15 at $5. Our catalogue has no volatility rating and no max win for the game. The largest single named prize is the Mega jackpot at 500x the total bet, but collect multipliers can scale combined wins.
Two follow-ups exist: Wild Wild Riches Megaways from 2023 at 96.02% and Wild Wild Riches Returns from 2025 at 96.5%. Both return less than the original. Among similar games, Big Bass Bonanza Megaways from 2021 lists 96.7% with a 4,000x cap, The Dog House Megaways from 2020 lists 96.55%, and Aztec Bonanza from 2020 lists 96.53% with 19,440x.
Pros
- Money symbols include three jackpots up to 500x the total bet
- Free spins retrigger for 10 more with no limit
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Both features depend on wilds landing on reels 1 and 2 together
- No volatility rating or max win published
- No bonus buy, and the ante raises every stake by 20%
Verdict
Wild Wild Riches turns two wild reels into a key for collecting cash prizes, jackpots of 50x, 100x and 500x, and multipliers up to 5x on the right side of the grid. Free spins add more of everything and retrigger without a limit. Its RTP is 96.77%, though no volatility or max win is published. Enjoy it with a firm budget and the 3.23% house edge in mind.
