Le Vampire review
Le Vampire is a Hacksaw Gaming slot that moves the studio's raccoon, Smokey, into a castle full of bats. Hacksaw released it on 1 October 2026. The headline RTP is 97%, though five versions exist, down to 86%. The open RTP database records Medium volatility, and Hacksaw lists a max win of 15,000x the bet. A free Le Vampire demo plays on this page, with no account needed.
How to play Le Vampire: clusters and Super Cascades
Wins here come from clusters, not paylines. Five or more matching symbols that touch each other, side by side or one above the other, make a winning combination. The same rule carries over into every bonus unless the rules say otherwise.
After a win the game uses what Hacksaw calls Super Cascades. Every regular paying symbol of the winning type leaves the grid, not only the ones in the cluster, and new symbols drop into the gaps. The chain continues until a drop produces no further win.
Golden Squares, Rainbow symbols and coins
Each win leaves a mark. The squares behind the winning symbols are highlighted as Golden Squares. They pay nothing by themselves. When a Rainbow symbol lands, it activates every highlighted square once all wins have been collected.
Activated squares reveal special symbols, so the main game builds towards a second kind of payout on top of the cluster wins.
Coins
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond Coins are revealed under activated squares and award instant cash prizes.
Clovers
A Green Clover lifts the values of Coins next to it. A Gold Clover lifts the values of every Coin on the grid, so it is worth more the more Coins are showing.
Bags and Pots of Gold
A Bag of Gold collects the Coins and any activated Bags or Pots on the squares beside it. A Pot of Gold collects all of the Coins and activated Bags or Pots.
Epic Rainbow and Blood Rain
An Epic Rainbow reveals special symbols on every position on the grid. It can also set off a Blood Rain, which highlights every position as a Blood Square. Blood Squares work like Golden Squares but never reveal Bronze Coins.
Le Vampire free spins: three bonus games
The FS scatter decides which bonus you get, and each one starts with 10 free spins. Three scatters at the same time open Coffin Break, four open Love at First Bite and five open the Hidden Epic Bonus, called Do Your Fang. All three add a progressive Symbol Bar that rewards extra spins and Rainbow symbols as it fills.
In Coffin Break the highlighted squares stay lit until a Rainbow symbol uses them, and winning with a high-paying symbol upgrades every symbol of that type to an Epic version for the rest of the bonus. Love at First Bite keeps those rules, but the squares stay highlighted even after a Rainbow has activated them, and each Symbol Bar level adds 2 free spins.
Do Your Fang builds on Love at First Bite. A Rainbow or Epic Rainbow lands on every spin, reaching Level 4 on the Symbol Bar brings an Epic Rainbow on the next spin, and every Coin revealed shows at least 1x.
Le Vampire bonus buy and ante bet
Hacksaw's rules describe a bonus buy with separate options for the bonus games, and an ante-style option as well. The game page does not print their prices, since the costs are shown inside the game. Check the info screen for the exact figure before using either, because a purchased bonus takes a big share of the stake in one go.
Le Vampire RTP and versions
Hacksaw lists five RTPs: 97%, 96%, 94%, 92% and 86%. The house edge runs from 3% to 14%. Casinos pick which version to run, so two sites can offer the same game at different prices. The game's info screen shows the figure in use.
Per $1,000 wagered, the 97% version costs about $30 on average and the 86% version about $140. In a 100-spin session at $1, that is $3 against $14. At $5 a spin, or $500 wagered, it is $15 against $70. The studio does not publish a hit rate.
Le Vampire max win and volatility
Hacksaw lists the max win as 15,000x the bet and rates volatility 3 out of 5, which sits in line with the Medium label in the open RTP database.
For comparison, Hacksaw's The Crypt lists 96.05%, High volatility and 27,000x, Kiss My Chainsaw 96.1%, Medium and 10,900x, and Dragon Tribe 96.07%, Medium and 27,000x. Le Vampire's ceiling is lower than the two Crypt games, whose max wins reach 27,000x and 31,248x.
Pros
- A 97% top RTP, a 3% house edge, about $30 per $1,000 wagered
- Three bonus games, from 3, 4 or 5 FS scatters, each with a Symbol Bar
- Cluster wins plus Coins, Clovers and Pots add a second layer of payouts
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Five RTP versions, down to 86%, with a 14% house edge at the bottom
- Bonus buy and ante prices are not printed on the game page
- Several layered features take time to read before the game makes sense
Verdict
Le Vampire stacks a lot on a cluster base: Super Cascades, Golden Squares, Coins with Clover and Pot boosts, and three bonus tiers. The top RTP is 97% and volatility is Medium, with a 15,000x max win from Hacksaw. Treat it as paid entertainment with a house edge, and check which RTP version is running before you play. The free demo is the easiest way to see how the Symbol Bar behaves.
