Candy Rush review

Candy Rush builds its whole design on one number that keeps doubling. Pragmatic Play sets the game in a world of rainbow rivers and sweets, pays for groups of five or more matching symbols and lets the reels tumble. Marked grid positions start at 2x and double with every consecutive winning tumble, up to 128x. The 2026 release has no volatility label in our catalogue, so the multiplier rules are the best guide to its character.

Groups of five and a tumbling grid

A win needs at least five matching symbols. When one lands, the winning symbols are paid and the reels refill, and the studio calls the result instant cash prizes. The refill is what keeps a single spin alive, because every new tumble that produces another win pushes the multipliers further.

The studio text does not give the dimensions of the main grid, so we do not state them.

Multipliers that stay put

In the base game, multiplier patches can mark positions on the grid. Their size can be as large as 7×7, and each one starts at 2x. The marked positions stay in place for the whole tumble sequence, so a later win that lands on them is boosted.

The value is not fixed. It doubles on consecutive tumble wins, and the studio caps it at 128x. Doubling from 2x reaches 128x after six steps, which means the top end needs a long unbroken chain of wins on the same spin.

Free spins and Super Free Spins

Three to seven scatters trigger the bonus, which can run up to 30 free spins; the studio lists 10 to 30 depending on the count. During the round, three or more scatters award extra spins.

Multipliers on every spin

Unlike the base game, the free spins place multipliers on every spin. The same doubling rule applies, so the value still climbs with successive tumbles and still ends at 128x.

Super Free Spins

This version of the bonus can trigger at random. The multiplier then spans the full grid instead of marking only part of it, so the feature covers every position on the board.

The maths

Candy Rush lists a 96.58% RTP and therefore a 3.42% house edge, or about $34.20 lost per $1,000 wagered. A 100-spin session costs $0.68 on average at a $0.20 bet, $3.42 at $1 and $17.10 at $5.

The max win is 5,000x the bet: $1,000 at $0.20, $5,000 at $1 and $25,000 at $5. Since the multiplier tops out at 128x, reaching the cap needs a large cluster win to be multiplied; the multiplier alone will not do it.

Comparable releases

Recent games with the same 5,000x cap include Bandit Megaways at 96.55% and Alien Invaders at 96.5%, both from 2025, and Candy Blitz Bombs at 96.49% from 2024. Aztec Powernudge posts 96.46%, while 5 Frozen Charms Megaways and Sugar Rush Xmas, both from 2023, list 96.5%.

Pros

  • Multipliers start at 2x and double with each consecutive winning tumble, up to 128x
  • A multiplier lands on every free spin
  • Super Free Spins can trigger at random and spread the multiplier across the full grid
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • No volatility rating published
  • Reaching the 128x multiplier needs a long chain of tumble wins

Verdict

Candy Rush is a tumbling slot whose value sits in its multipliers: a 2x start, doubling to 128x, present on every free spin and spread across the full grid in Super Free Spins. The 96.58% RTP and 5,000x cap are close to the studio's usual range. A 3.42% house edge means play has an average cost, and the free demo is a low-pressure way to see how often tumble chains build up.
