Tropical Tiki review
Tropical Tiki is an island fruit slot with a twist on tumbling. Instead of every symbol falling away after a win, the winners and the scatters stay locked in place while everything else disappears and is replaced, and the tumbling carries on as long as the winning combinations keep growing. In the free spins the grid expands as the round goes on. The official rules cap wins at 3,000x the bet.
Locking tumbles
The game starts on a grid the studio describes as 3x6 and pays left to right on adjacent symbols, with combinations of any size. After each spin, every symbol in a winning combination and every scatter locks on screen. Non-winning symbols vanish, the survivors drop to the bottom and new symbols fall into the gaps.
The unusual rule is what happens next. If more symbols of the same type, or more scatters, land and join an existing winning combination, they stay as well, and the tumbling continues. The sequence ends when a tumble adds nothing new to the combinations already on screen. This makes a chain a build-up of one growing cluster of symbols rather than a series of unrelated wins.
Scatters pay and trigger
Scatters appear on reels two to five. Four or more start the free spins round with eight free spins, and up to ten can land on a single base game spin. Scatters also pay a multiple of the total bet in their own right; for example, four of them pay 5x. Free Spins
The round gives eight spins and cannot be retriggered. The grid grows to 5x6 and more positions are unlocked progressively during the round, up to a maximum of 6400 ways. With no retrigger available, the growing grid is the one mechanic the rules describe for the round itself.
