Jammin' Jars 2 review
Jammin' Jars 2 turns a fruit-and-dancefloor theme into a cluster slot on an 8x8 grid, with a DJ character who runs the main feature. Rather than lines, matching fruit forms groups, and a meter of collected vinyl records builds towards a special round called Giga Jar. Push Gaming's text lists the mechanics in detail but gives no volatility or max win, so the picture here is of the rules and the cost, not of the size of the biggest prize.
Clusters on an 8x8 board
Wins need at least five fruits of the same kind matched together, so the large grid is what gives clusters room to form.
Instant Prizes are a second route to a payout and are available in both the base game and the free spins. They land in blue tiles, and the studio says they can go all the way to 1000x. Five or more adjacent Instant Prizes turn purple and form a paying cluster, which can happen at any moment.
Collecting vinyl, then the Giga Jar
Gold Vinyls can land in the base game. When collected they fly to a meter beside the DJ, and reaching the maximum level gives a chance to trigger the Giga Jar feature.
Giga Jar
The jar lands as a 2x2 symbol, or as a paying 3x3 or 4x4 Instant Prize Block, and 8 Giga Spins are awarded. Instant Prize symbols can arrive carrying one or two extra spins. When the round ends, a new Giga Jar appears boosted to level 2, 3 or 4.
Equaliser shots
When a prize cluster forms, an equaliser covers the reels and the Giga Jar DJ fires one to three shots of giant fruit. Each shot bursts into a cluster of one fruit type, and the wins are then paid out.
Wild Jar free spins
Three or more Wild Jar symbols award 6 free spins. A Wild Jar multiplier that lands next to a playing cluster is added to that cluster's win.
Two RTPs and what they cost
Two versions are recorded: 96.4%, with a 3.6% house edge, and 94.4%, with a 5.6% edge. Per $1,000 wagered the average loss is $36 on the higher version and $56 on the lower. The studio notes that the figure shown on the loading screen can vary by market, so look at that screen before you start.
A session of 100 spins costs about $0.72 at $0.20 per spin on the higher version and $1.12 on the lower. At $1 the figures are $3.60 and $5.60. At $5, which is $500 wagered, they are $18 and $28. Treat those as averages; a feature that pays 1000x on one spin shows how far single results can sit from them.
Games on the same RTP
Bison Battle, Blaze of Ra, Dinopolis, Fish 'n' Nudge, Goat Getter and Samurai's Katana also list 96.4%. For anyone choosing between them, the grid and bonus design are the points that separate them.
Pros
- Large 8x8 grid with cluster wins from five matching fruits
- Instant Prizes in both the base game and the free spins, with values up to 1000x
- Giga Jar gives 8 Giga Spins and returns at a higher level after each round
- Free official demo available
Cons
- A lower 94.4% RTP is recorded, with a 5.6% house edge
- No volatility label, max win or release year in our data
Verdict
Jammin' Jars 2 offers a busy cluster design: five-fruit wins, Instant Prizes of up to 1000x, a collectable meter and a Giga Jar round with 8 spins. The headline RTP is 96.4%, but a 94.4% version exists, and volatility is not published. Check the RTP on the loading screen, try the free demo first and keep stakes at a level where the average cost of $36 per $1,000 is comfortable.
