Fish 'n' Nudge review
Fish 'n' Nudge swaps the usual spin-and-hope loop for something closer to a slow descent. A stack of four Net symbols lands on a reel and slides down one space on every spin, and any fish caught inside pays at once. The Fisherman is both a wild and a collector, and the free spins last as long as nets remain on the reels. No volatility, max win or release year is published for it in our catalogue.
Nets, fish and instant prizes
The Net is an overlay symbol. It arrives as a vertical stack of four on a single reel, then nudges down one space with every spin until it moves off. Fish symbols that land inside a Net pay instantly, so the prize does not depend on forming a line or a cluster.
The studio highlights the Golden Fish as the one to watch for. It does not give the prize values attached to each fish, so none are quoted here.
The Fisherman
One symbol does two jobs. As a wild, the Fisherman can complete ordinary combinations. As a collector, it matters most when it lands inside a Net.
Collecting prizes
When the Fisherman lands inside a Net, he collects every Instant Prize that is visible on the reels at that moment. Since Nets keep drifting downward, the timing of his arrival decides how many fish are already in view, so the feature rewards a Fisherman that arrives while many prizes are on screen.
Free spins that run until the nets are gone
Three or more Bonus symbols trigger the Free Spins feature. The round begins with an unlimited number of spins, a multiplier counter and Net symbols already on the reels.
Each respin adds +1 to the multiplier. The round ends when no Net symbols remain on the reels. In other words, there is no fixed spin count to run out. The round lasts as long as nets stay on the reels, and the multiplier grows for every respin until then. That puts the weight of the game on how long the nets can be kept in play.
RTP versions and session cost
Fish 'n' Nudge is listed with two RTP versions: 96.4% and 94.38%. The first carries a 3.6% house edge, about $36 lost per $1,000 wagered. The second carries 5.62%, about $56.20 per $1,000. The studio states that the RTP may vary per casino and can be found on the game loading screen.
Over 100 spins at $0.20 the average cost is $0.72 on the higher version and $1.12 on the lower. At $1 the figures are $3.60 and $5.62, and at $5 they are $18 and $28.10.
Games with the same RTP
Bison Battle, Blaze of Ra, Dinopolis and Goat Getter also list 96.4%, as do Jammin' Jars 2 and Samurai's Katana. Push Gaming has many releases that sit on the same figure, so the RTP does little to tell them apart; the nets and the growing multiplier do.
Pros
- Fish in a Net pay instantly, with no lines or clusters to read
- Free spins have no fixed count and end only when the Nets are gone
- The multiplier rises by +1 on every respin
- Free official demo available
Cons
- No volatility label or max win in our catalogue
- A second RTP version of 94.38% has a 5.62% house edge
- Prize values for fish are not published, so the size of wins is unclear
Verdict
Fish 'n' Nudge is a game of drifting stacks: Nets nudge down, the Fisherman cashes in what is visible, and the free spins keep going until the last Net leaves the reels. The headline 96.4% RTP and 3.6% house edge are plain on paper, but the lack of a published volatility or max win means the swings are hard to judge. Use the free demo to see how long a Net round lasts before you decide on a stake.
