Big Bass Blast review
Big Bass Blast, a 2026 release from Pragmatic Play, turns the lake into a charged grid. The Fisherman appears as a wild on the outer reels only, and he does more than substitute: he sweeps up fish money symbols and can carry a multiplier into the base game. The free spins are short, five to nine, but they can be stretched. The catalogue lists a single RTP of 96.5% and no volatility or max win.
Fisherman wilds on the edges
Fisherman wilds can land on reels one and five. In the base game they can hit with a random multiplier of up to 10x. Their other task runs through both base and bonus play: they collect the sum of all the fish money symbols on the screen, and those money symbols carry values of up to 500x.
Because the wilds only sit on the outer reels while the money symbols can land elsewhere, the value of a spin depends on both kinds of symbol showing up together. The studio's own phrasing covers the opposite case in the bonus, described below.
Reaching the free spins
Landing at least three scatters starts the bonus game. The studio gives the range as three to five scatters for five to nine free spins, so a bigger trigger buys a longer round. If only two scatters land on the grid, a special hook feature can reel in a third and still trigger the bonus. Other special features can pull in scatters during the base game too.
Inside the bonus game
The bonus keeps the collecting wilds and adds two ways to repair a spin that is missing a piece.
Seventh-wild extension
Each seventh wild to land during the feature awards five extra spins and raises the win multiplier. The multiplier goes to 2x on the first extension, 3x on the second and 10x on the third. A long round is therefore not just longer but worth more per win as it continues.
Dynamite and bazooka
In the bonus, if fish money symbols appear without Fisherman wilds, or Fisherman wilds appear without money symbols, dynamite or bazooka features offer additional chances for instant wins. These are the studio's answer to a spin that has only half of the pair.
The numbers behind a session
At 96.5% the house edge is 3.5%, which is about $35 lost per $1,000 wagered over a long run. Across 100 spins, the average cost is $0.70 at $0.20 a spin, $3.50 at $1 and $17.50 at $5, which is $500 wagered.
No volatility label or max win is published. The 500x top money symbol and the 10x multipliers show the scale of individual pieces, but the data does not give a ceiling for the whole game.
2026 titles on the same RTP
777 Wheel Blitz, Better Barn House Bonanza, Big Bass Football Bonanza, Big Bass Trophy Catch, Cyberheist City and Dragon's Gate - Bonus Choice all list 96.5% and a 2026 release. With the return identical, the tie-breakers are the bonus structure and the free demo.
Pros
- Fisherman wilds collect all fish money symbols, which carry values up to 500x
- Base-game wild multipliers of up to 10x
- A hook feature can bring in a third scatter when two land
- Free official demo available
Cons
- No volatility rating or max win in our catalogue
- Free spins start at only five, and extensions depend on landing seven wilds
Verdict
Big Bass Blast keeps its rules tight: wilds on the first and fifth reels, money symbols up to 500x, a short free round of five to nine spins and extensions that scale to a 10x multiplier. The RTP is 96.5% with a 3.5% house edge, and volatility is not published, so the pace is hard to judge from the data. Use the free demo to see how often the pieces meet before putting money behind it.
