Jammin’ Jars review
Jammin' Jars is a cascading fruit slot on an 8x8 board, and its central character is the jar itself. One symbol does two jobs, acting as both a wild and the scatter, and each jar brings a multiplier to the wins it touches. Push Gaming's description is short, with no volatility, max win or release year, so this review covers the rules the studio does state and the cost of playing on each of the two recorded RTPs.
Cascades on an 8x8 grid
Fruits and jars fall onto the grid, and a win needs five or more matching fruits. When a group pays, the symbols are cleared and new ones cascade in, so a single spin can produce several results in a row.
Because wins are decided by group size rather than lines, the large grid is the main design choice, and the cascades are what turn one win into a possible chain.
The jam jar: wild, scatter and multiplier
The jar is the only special symbol the studio highlights, and it carries most of the weight of the game.
Wild with a multiplier
A jar substitutes for fruit and brings a multiplier that starts at 1x. That multiplier is applied to every win the jar contributes to, which means each jar can lift more than one win in a cascade chain.
Free games
Landing three or more jars anywhere on the reels starts the free games feature. The studio says multipliers join the round, so the bonus is built around jar values.
Rainbow feature
This one is triggered at random. It brings oversized fruits onto the grid, which burst into wins. Because it is random, nothing a player does can bring it on.
Two RTPs, two prices
The catalogue records a 96.83% RTP and a lower 94.25% version. The first leaves a 3.17% house edge, worth $31.70 per $1,000 wagered. The second leaves 5.75%, or $57.50. The studio says the RTP can vary by operator and that it is shown in the user panel and on the loading screen.
Over 100 spins a $0.20 bet costs about $0.63 or $1.15 depending on the version. At $1 a spin the average is $3.17 or $5.75, and at $5, which is $500 wagered, $15.85 or $28.75. The gap between versions is large enough to matter more than any difference in feature design.
Nearby on RTP
Razor Shark lists 96.7% and Joker Troupe 96.68%. Wild Swarm 2 is at 96.67% and the original Wild Swarm at 97.03%. Mystery Museum and Fat Drac sit at 96.58% and 96.57%. At 96.83% this game's top version is above all of them except the 97.03% Wild Swarm.
Pros
- Higher version of 96.83% RTP with a 3.17% house edge
- Jars double as wild and scatter, each with a multiplier from 1x
- Cascades on an 8x8 grid let one spin pay more than once
- Free official demo available
Cons
- A much lower 94.25% version exists, with a 5.75% house edge
- No volatility label, max win or release year in our data
Verdict
Jammin' Jars is a simple idea done on a large board: cascading fruit, five-symbol wins and a jar that acts as wild, scatter and multiplier. The 96.83% RTP is attractive, but a 94.25% version is also on record and costs nearly twice as much per $1,000 wagered. Volatility is not published. Check which RTP the loading screen shows, and use the free demo before you stake anything.
