Dice Clash review

Dice Clash puts you against an opponent across a wooden board in a Sakura garden. Both sides roll dice, the higher total wins, and equal totals are a draw. BGaming released it in 2024, and its one big choice is built into the dice themselves: the volatility level decides how many dice you roll and how many the opponent rolls. At one end you hold the numerical advantage, at the other you are outnumbered.

Roll, add up, compare

You set a bet, choose a volatility level and press ROLL. The dice roll across the board and settle with one face up, and the points on each side are added up. If your total is higher than the opponent's, you win. If both totals are the same, the round is a draw, and the studio says the payout for a draw is influenced by the volatility level.

Everything is decided by the dice, so no skill is involved after the level is chosen.

The three volatility levels

The button to the left of ROLL changes the level. Each one changes the number of dice on both sides and the range of multipliers on offer.

Low

You roll 2 dice and the opponent rolls 1. The possible multipliers run from 0.5x to 10x. With twice the dice, the player side holds the numerical advantage, which fits the narrower range.

Medium

You and the opponent each roll 2 dice. The possible multipliers run from 1x to 21x. This is the even matchup, with no side holding more dice.

High

You roll 1 die against the opponent's 2. The possible multipliers run from 2x to 46x. The studio makes you the outnumbered side here, and the multiplier range is the widest of the three.

Autoplay

Autoplay lets you set a number of rolls and change how the bet size behaves after a win or a loss, so the game runs without pressing ROLL each time. The studio says you can sit back and watch. The bet-size settings change the stake, not the odds, and the house edge applies to every unit wagered.

What the numbers say

The catalogue lists one RTP, 98.05%, a house edge of 1.95%. Over a long run this means about $19.50 lost per $1,000 wagered. For 100 rolls, the average cost is $0.39 at $0.20, $1.95 at $1 and $9.75 at $5, which is $500 wagered.

The catalogue has no volatility label, because the game offers three. It also has no max win. The highest multiplier in the studio text is the 46x top of the High level, which is a range limit and not a stated max win. The text does not give separate RTPs for each level.

Rolls are independent. A change of level alters how outcomes are spread, and no run of earlier results changes what the next roll does.

Pros

  • Three levels change the dice count and the multiplier range
  • Rules are clear: higher total wins, equal totals draw
  • 98.05% RTP and a 1.95% house edge
  • Autoplay with bet-size changes after wins or losses

Cons

  • No catalogue volatility label or max win; 46x is only the top of the High range
  • No separate RTP is given for each level in the available text

Verdict

Dice Clash is a one-button dice duel where the volatility level decides the dice count and the multiplier range, from 0.5x to 46x. The 98.05% RTP and 1.95% house edge apply as the single listed figure. It is paid entertainment, and the demo is a safe way to see how each level pays out before choosing one.
