Brute Force review

Brute Force has a squad of misfit heroes holding off an alien invasion led by a villain named Hyper. Under the sci-fi dressing, Nolimit City strips the design down to one idea: Wilds that nudge into full view and grow a multiplier with every step. There are three kinds of them, each with a different growth rate and cap, and both free spin rounds revolve around them.

One grid, one idea

The board is a plain 5x5, five rows on each of five reels, and wins are counted as ways from left to right. No cascades, no reels that grow, no respins. Almost everything interesting comes from the Wild.

That focus makes the game easier to understand than many of its stablemates, but it also concentrates the risk. When the Wilds do not show up, spins pay only the regular symbols on a fixed grid, and the hit frequency of 20.6% means about four spins in five return nothing at all.

Three Wilds, three growth rates

Each xNudge Wild lands stacked and partly off screen, then nudges until it is fully visible. Every step it moves raises its multiplier. When it is fully visible a random multiplier can be added at the bottom, and if several of these Wilds take part in one win, their multipliers are added together on a shared meter.

The three versions differ only in how fast they grow and where they stop.

Joshua xNudge Wild

The mildest of the three. Each nudge adds 1 to its multiplier, and the value is capped at 8x. It is the most modest contribution to a win, but several of them in one spin still add up on the meter.

Jason xNudge Wild

Adds 2 per nudge and stops at 21x. Combined with a Joshua Wild on the same win, the two values are summed rather than multiplied, which keeps the outcome readable.

Hyper xNudge Wild

The alien leader. Each nudge adds 5, up to a maximum of 51x. A Hyper Wild that travels a long way before it settles is the strongest single piece on the board, and most of the large outcomes depend on one taking part in a win.

Brute Spins and Super Brute Spins

Three Scatters award 10 Brute Spins. Four Scatters award 10 Super Brute Spins instead, the same number of spins with one important change: xNudge Wilds can become sticky and stay for the rest of the feature.

That difference is larger than it looks. A sticky Hyper or Jason Wild keeps contributing its multiplier spin after spin, so the upper round is where the 40,000x cap becomes a realistic part of the maths rather than a footnote. Both rounds end when the spins are used up or when the cap is reached.

Paying to skip ahead

There is no ante bet in the usual sense; the options below all raise what you pay for a spin or a feature.

xBet

Costs 4.7x the base bet per spin. A Scatter is placed on reel 2, and the rules put the chance of triggering the free spins at about ten times the normal rate.

xNudge purchases

Three single-spin buys that ensure a minimum number of xNudge Wilds on the board: at least 1 Wild for 60x the bet, at least 2 for 333x, and at least 4 for 4,000x. The last option is a very large outlay for one spin.

Nolimit Bonus Buy

Direct entry to the free spin features, priced between 100x and 800x the bet. The pack gives only this range, without an itemised price for each round.

The cost of the fight

Brute Force has one RTP version, 96.08%, a house edge of 3.92%. Spread over a long run, $1,000 of play costs about $39.20 on average. A 100-spin session averages $0.78 at $0.20, $3.92 at $1 and $19.60 at $5. The volatility is rated Very high.

The 40,000x cap is worth $8,000 at a $0.20 stake and $200,000 at $5. No series is listed. The Rave at 96.09% with 41,500x and El Paso Gunfight xNudge at 96.05% with 44,440x are the nearest matches, both also rated Very high.

Pros

  • A single, clear mechanic: nudging Wilds with summed multipliers
  • Hyper Wilds reach 51x, Jason 21x and Joshua 8x
  • Sticky xNudge Wilds are possible in Super Brute Spins
  • A 40,000x ceiling

Cons

  • Hit frequency of 20.6% means most spins pay nothing
  • Very high volatility, with the top results tied to the rarer four-Scatter round
  • Buy options run from 4.7x per spin up to 4,000x

Verdict

Brute Force bets everything on its three xNudge Wilds, and that focus makes it simple to read and harsh to play. The 96.08% RTP leaves a 3.92% house edge, the volatility is Very high, and only one spin in five or so pays. Super Brute Spins, with sticky Wilds, carry the real potential. It suits patient players with a clear stop limit; anyone wanting frequent returns will find it punishing.
