Bounty Cove review
Bounty Cove is built like a ladder. You begin with a young pirate and a small 5x3 board, and every pearl that lands fills a progress bar towards the next rank of crew. Four stages stand between the start and the full line-up, and each one changes what the reels can do. The board grows, new wilds arrive and, at the end, the free spins unlock. It is a slot about progress rather than a single big feature.
The pearl progress bar
A progress bar with four stages sits over the sixth reel. It fills when the highest-paying symbol, the pearl, lands on the active rows, and 66 of them are needed to complete each stage. What is unlocked at each step is the heart of the game.
Winning symbols disappear after a payout, and new ones drop in, so one spin can continue through several wins. Each refill gives the pearls another chance to land inside the same sequence.
What each stage unlocks
Stages one to three each add a pirate rank, and the fourth completes the climb. The studio's list is short and the text we hold is cut off after the second pirate wild, so the details of the later ones are unconfirmed.
Stage 1: Young Pirate
The Young Pirate wild, with a brown hat, expands over all active rows of a reel. It stays after taking part in a win until all 6 rows are active, and it counts as many symbols as there are active rows.
Stage 2: Famous Pirate
The Famous Pirate, with a black hat, acts like the Young Pirate and also holds a random win multiplier of x2, x3, x5 or x10, applied to all wins it takes part in.
Stage 3: Legendary Pirate
Unlocks the Legendary Pirate for the later stages. The studio text we hold does not describe its effect.
Stage 4: the full crew
Completing it ends the progress. Reel 6 is unlocked, free spins scatters are added, and Free Spins and Super Spins can be triggered. A Second Chance feature is enabled as well. The rules we hold name these but do not describe how they work.
A board that changes size
The studio lists the grid as 5x3 at the start and up to 6x6 when fully unlocked. The number of ways runs from 243 at the minimum to 46,656 at the maximum. Plain wilds appear on reel 3 until the last stage is complete, and on reels 3 and 4 afterwards.
The consequence is that the early game and the late game are different slots. A fresh board has few ways and modest wilds, while a fully unlocked one has more rows, more reels and more bonus triggers. Our source does not say whether progress carries from one spin to the next, so check the demo before assuming it does.
Return, hit frequency and ceiling
The RTP is 96.18%, a house edge of 3.82%, or about $38.20 lost per $1,000 wagered. A hundred spins cost about $0.76 at a $0.20 bet, $3.82 at $1 and $19.10 at $5.
Hit frequency is 35.61% and volatility Very high. The max win is 20,000 times the bet, which is $4,000 at $0.20, $20,000 at $1 and $100,000 at $5. Bets range from EUR 0.20 to EUR 500.00, and a feature buy-in is available.
Where it sits
Dynamite Riches The Mother Lode lists 96.17%, Aztec Tribute 96.14%, and Dragon Boyz, Santa's Rage and Thor's Rage 2 all show 96.11%. Piggy Riches Begins from 2025 has 96.17% and a slightly higher 21,285x ceiling. Apart from that one, they share the 20,000x cap and the Very high rating.
Pros
- Four-stage progress bar that expands the board and unlocks new wilds
- 20,000x max win with a 35.61% hit frequency
- Famous Pirate wilds carry multipliers of up to x10
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Very high volatility
- Free Spins, Super Spins and Second Chance are named but not described in our source
- Reaching the final stage takes many pearls
Verdict
Bounty Cove makes progress its main feature: pearls fill a bar, the crew grows, the board expands and the bonus rounds unlock at the top. The 96.18% RTP and Very high volatility sit with a 20,000x ceiling, and the 3.82% house edge applies on every spin. Because our source leaves the final stage only partly explained, the free demo is the right place to see it.
