Bounty Raid review

Bounty Raid fills its reels with outlaws and gives the law two ways to collect them. In this Wild West release from June 2020, Bandit symbols carry prizes that only pay when a Sheriff or a Bounty Hunter turns up on the same spin. The Sheriff collects on the spot; the Bounty Hunter locks the Bandits for a respin round that can keep growing. Red Tiger rates it Medium volatility with a top win of 1,022x.

Fifty lines and a wanted list

The game sits on a 5x3 grid with 50 lines, and the studio lists bets from €0.10 to €50. Line wins pay normally. Alongside them, Bandit scatters show prize values on their faces, and more than one can land on the same spin.

On their own, Bandits pay nothing. That single rule shapes the whole base game: every Bandit on the screen is a potential prize that only becomes real if one of the two lawmen arrives at the same moment.

The lawmen

Both collectors are non-paying scatters, and only one of each can be on the reels at a time. Where they can land is the main difference between them.

Sheriff

Can land on any reel except the middle one. When he appears, every Bandit visible on the reels is activated and their prizes are added together and paid. It is an instant collection with no extra spins.

Bounty Hunter

A 1x2 scatter that lands only on the middle reel. He locks every Bandit in place and starts a respin feature in which only Bandits and the Golden Coin can appear. When the respins run out, all Bandit prizes are paid together.

Golden Coin

Appears only during the Bounty Hunter respins. When it lands, the prize of every Bandit currently on the reels goes up, so it is most useful once many Bandits are already locked.

How the respin round grows

The Bounty Hunter round keeps running for as long as something new arrives. Each respin that brings a new Bandit or a Golden Coin sets off another respin; a respin with neither ends the round and pays the combined value of the Bandits.

Because the Golden Coin raises every Bandit at once, its value depends on timing: one landing late in a crowded round adds far more than one landing early. The studio does not publish the size of the increase or the range of Bandit prizes, so those cannot be quoted.

Return and range

Bounty Raid has one RTP on record, 95.71%, a house edge of 4.29%, or about $42.90 per $1,000 wagered over time. A run of 100 spins costs $0.86 at $0.20, $4.29 at $1 and $21.45 at $5 on average.

The studio's hit frequency is 23.76%, roughly one paying spin in four. The ceiling of 1,022x equals $204.40 at $0.20, $1,022 at $1 and $5,110 at $5.

Sequel and alternatives

Bounty Raid 2 is the follow-up in the catalogue, at 95.68% with High volatility and a 2,372x cap. Close to the original in numbers are Robin Hood's Wild Forest at 95.73% and 1,003x, HarleCoin at 95.71% and 1,076x, and Neon Links at 95.67% and 1,050x, all rated Medium.

Pros

  • Two clear ways to cash in Bandits: an instant Sheriff collect or a respin round
  • Bounty Hunter respins continue as long as new Bandits or Golden Coins land
  • Medium volatility with 50 lines

Cons

  • Bandits pay nothing without a Sheriff or Bounty Hunter
  • Bandit values and the Golden Coin boost are not published
  • A 95.71% RTP and a 1,022x cap

Verdict

Bounty Raid builds everything on one rule: Bandit prizes only pay when a lawman shows up. The Sheriff collects them instantly, while the Bounty Hunter locks them for respins that a Golden Coin can make more valuable. The 95.71% RTP means a 4.29% house edge, and the Medium volatility with a 1,022x cap keeps outcomes moderate. It suits players who like collect mechanics. Keep stakes within a budget you set first.
