Jack and the Beanstalk 2 review
Jack has swapped giant-slaying for office life. In this sequel, NetEnt puts him in a corporate world run by his boss, Goaty Mc Goatface, where magic beans are traded for crypto gains. The original game appeared in 2011; the sequel reached early access on 10 September 2026 and general release on 17 September 2026. Underneath the joke is a wild-driven design with stacks, x3 multipliers and re-spins, a Very high volatility rating and a 96.32% RTP.
Wilds, levels and stacks
The main-game wild can land on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, never on a reel that already holds one. Its size depends on the current Wild Level: it may arrive as a single symbol or as a stack two, three, four or five high. Every wild that lands carries a x3 multiplier, and when several wilds are part of the same winning combination their multipliers are summed and applied to the win.
The grid is 5x5, and the studio lists a feature buy-in, though no price is given in our sources.
Re-Spins that walk left
Landing a wild on the reels starts Re-Spins. At the beginning of each one the wilds shift a reel to the left. New wilds that appear during the Re-Spins sit at a higher level than the one before them, including the wild that started the sequence, so their stacks are larger, until the maximum stack size is reached. Stacks can land in full or only partly on the reels.
The sequence ends when no wilds remain on the reels. Since the wilds drift to the left and out of view, each Re-Spin is a countdown unless another wild arrives to keep it going.
Wild Level
Sets how tall a wild stack can be, from one symbol up to five. During Re-Spins each new wild is a level higher than the last, so stacks grow as the sequence continues until the maximum size is reached.
x3 wild multiplier
Every landing wild starts with a x3 multiplier. If more than one wild is in a winning combination, their multipliers are added together before they apply to the win.
What the numbers say
Only one RTP is recorded, 96.32%, a house edge of 3.68%. That is about $36.80 lost per $1,000 wagered over a long run. For short sessions, 100 spins at $0.20 cost $0.74 on average, 100 spins at $1 cost $3.68, and 100 spins at $5, or $500 wagered, cost $18.40.
Volatility is Very high and the max win is 20,000x the bet, which equals $4,000 at a $0.20 bet, $20,000 at $1 and $100,000 at $5. No hit frequency is published.
Against the original and its peers
The first Jack and the Beanstalk, from 2011, lists a 96.28% RTP, High volatility and a 7,100x max win. The sequel is a little higher on RTP and moves to Very high volatility with a ceiling nearly three times as large.
Several Very high rated slots list the same 20,000x: Divine Fortune Black at 96.26%, Mine Blown at 96.15% and Jelly Belly Megaways at 96.08%. Beach Invaders goes to 20,847x at 96.09%, Starburst XXXtreme to 16,800x at 96.45%, and Mummy Megaways to 16,321x at 96.2%.
Who it suits
Very high volatility and a 20,000x ceiling mean most of the value is concentrated in rare, large outcomes, which suits a patient budget and tolerance for dry spells. A small bet keeps the average cost per hundred spins low, but it does not change the 3.68% house edge.
Pros
- Wild stacks up to five high, each with a x3 multiplier that adds up in a win
- Re-Spins escalate the wild level and end only when no wilds are left
- A 20,000x max win with a feature buy-in listed by the studio
- RTP of 96.32%, slightly above the original
Cons
- Very high volatility means long stretches without large wins are normal
- No hit frequency is published, and the feature buy price is not given in our sources
Verdict
Jack and the Beanstalk 2 is a volatile, wild-centred sequel: x3 stacked wilds, left-moving Re-Spins and a 20,000x ceiling. The 96.32% RTP means a 3.68% house edge, and Very high volatility makes results uneven. As paid entertainment it costs about $36.80 per $1,000 wagered on average, so it suits players who can accept long quiet stretches.
