Bigger Barn House Bonanza review
This 2025 farm slot from Pragmatic Play builds its bonus around marked positions rather than a retrigger count. Scatters leave marks on the board that grow from straw to wood to brick, and everything is paid when the round ends. A separate wheel bonus can switch on a second feature, award one of four jackpot prizes or enlarge the grid. The catalogue lists a 96.5% RTP and no volatility or max win.
Building the house position by position
Six or more scatters trigger the main feature, which begins with six free spins. During those spins, each landing scatter marks its position with straw. If another scatter lands on a marked spot, the mark upgrades to wood, and a third visit upgrades it to brick. A spot that is already brick cannot go higher, so the next scatter marks a random different position instead.
Marked positions are not paid one by one. At the end of the round all of them award their prizes together.
What each material is worth
The studio gives a ceiling for each level: up to 1.25x for straw, up to 60x for wood and up to 5,000x for brick. The gap between them is the whole story. Straw is a small change, wood is a meaningful prize, and brick is where the top value sits. A round full of straw is worth little, while a few bricks matter far more.
A brick position does not always pay cash. At random, a brick can reveal the Wheel Bonus in place of a prize.
The wheel and the bigger grid
The Wheel Bonus has two entrances: a revealed brick, or three Wheel Bonus symbols in the base game. It then selects one of the rewards below.
Feature with marked positions
The wheel can start the main feature with larger scatters and with positions that are already marked. This is a head start, since the board does not begin empty, and it is one of the possible results rather than the default.
Jackpot prizes
The wheel can instead award one of four jackpot prizes. The studio puts the top of that range at 5,000x, the same figure as the brick prize, so the two routes share one ceiling.
Bigger Wheel
This result triggers the feature on an enlarged grid, adding three extra rows to give a 5×6 layout. More positions mean more room for scatters to land and for marks to be upgraded.
Cost of play
The RTP is 96.5%, a house edge of 3.5%, or about $35 lost per $1,000 wagered over a long run. Over 100 spins, the average cost is $0.70 at $0.20 a spin, $3.50 at $1 and $17.50 at $5, which is $500 wagered. No volatility label is published, and the catalogue holds no max win, although the studio text mentions prizes up to 5,000x.
Other 2025 games at 96.5%
5 Lions Megaways 2 (8,000x), 5 Lions Reborn (5,000x) and Alien Invaders (5,000x) list the same RTP and a recorded max win. 777 Rush, Big Bass Boxing Bonus Round and Big Bass Halloween 3 match the return with no max win on record. With the return so close, the position-upgrade bonus is the main thing to weigh.
Pros
- Straw, wood and brick marks give a clear ladder of prizes up to 5,000x
- A Wheel Bonus adds a second feature, jackpot prizes or a larger grid
- Wheel can be triggered by three symbols in the base game
- Free official demo available
Cons
- All prizes are paid only at the end of the round
- No volatility rating or max win in our catalogue
Verdict
Bigger Barn House Bonanza trades constant payouts for a round that builds quietly and pays at the end, with straw, wood and brick levels worth up to 1.25x, 60x and 5,000x. The Wheel Bonus broadens it with a second feature, four jackpot prizes and a 5×6 grid. The RTP is 96.5% and volatility is not published, so the demo is the best place to see how an upgrade round unfolds before spending anything.
