Bass Boss Megaways review
In Red Tiger's 2025 fishing slot, the main character does the work. The Bass Boss sits above the reels, casts his line at random and collects whatever fish his float lands on, each fish carrying an instant prize. A separate horizontal reel holds the biggest catches, and three or more scatters open Contest Spins. The catalogue lists a 95.68% RTP, a Very high volatility label and a 25,539x max win.
The Bass Boss and his float
The Bass Boss casts during or after a spin. His float lands on a random reel and collects all the fish on it. If there is no win after a spin or a chain reaction, he may cast again to catch fish or special symbols.
Sometimes he throws groundbait first. That brings many fish onto the reels, with at least one fish on every reel. In the base game, multipliers can also appear on the float, and any fish caught with one has its instant prize multiplied by 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.
Fish and prizes
Fish scatters can land anywhere except the horizontal reel. They do not contribute to the ways to win, and each holds an instant prize expressed as a multiple of the stake. The horizontal reel runs below the standard reels, and every paying symbol can land on it alongside the exclusive symbols below.
Grey and Blue Fish
Fish scatters with instant prizes. Grey Fish hold 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 3x the stake. Blue Fish hold 5x, 6x, 7x or 10x.
Green and Orange Fish
Exclusive to the horizontal reel. Green Fish take up two positions and hold 15x, 20x, 25x or 30x. Orange Fish take up three positions and hold 50x, 75x, 100x or 200x.
Golden Catfish
The biggest catch, four positions long, on the horizontal reel. It holds 500x, 750x, 1,000x or 2,000x the stake.
Fish School and Underwater Mine
Fish School, when caught, turns every symbol on the vertical reel above it, itself included, into Grey or Blue Fish, which are then caught. The Underwater Mine explodes when caught and collects the prizes of all fish symbols on the reels.
Contest Spins
Three or more scatters take you into the Contest Spins, where each catch can raise multipliers up to 10x. An Instant Contest Spins symbol exists on the horizontal reel too, but the part of the rules that explains it is cut off in the text we hold, so we do not describe it.
RTP and cost
Bass Boss Megaways has one RTP on record, 95.68%, a house edge of 4.32% and about $43.20 lost per $1,000 wagered. The hit frequency is 28.96%.
A 100-spin session costs on average $0.86 at a $0.20 bet, $4.32 at $1 and $21.60 at $5. The 25,539x max win equals $5,107.80 at $0.20, $25,539 at $1 and $127,695 at $5.
