3 Clown Monty sends in the clowns, and the rules are built like a three-ring act. Wilds can turn into multiplier wilds worth up to x25, two scatters set off a random helper called Dealers Choice, and the free spins contain a second, smaller round called Monty Spins where those multiplier wilds stick. Play'n GO released it in 2021 with a Very high volatility rating, and its layered bonus is the reason.
The multiplier wilds
Everything starts with the Multiplier Meter. When it is active, ordinary wilds can become Multiplier Wilds carrying x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x25, and any win that uses one is multiplied by the value it shows. The studio's text does not explain how the meter is switched on in the base game; it only states that it is always active during the free spins.
Wins are formed on paylines, since the rules refer to Multiplier Wilds on a winning payline. The page does not set out how two or more multiplier values on the same line are combined, so this review does not assume they add or multiply.
Scatters, picks and Dealers Choice
Scatters can land on any reel, and their count decides which act follows. The spread of outcomes is wide because almost every step includes a random pick.
Dealers Choice
Two scatters trigger it. It randomly awards either one more scatter or between 2 and 6 wilds. If the Multiplier Meter is active at that moment, the added wilds can arrive as Multiplier Wilds, so a near-miss on the bonus can still produce a boosted base-game win.
Free Spins
Three scatters open a pick feature worth 5, 7 or 9 free spins. Four scatters give 7, 9 or 10 at random, and five give 9, 10 or 12. Throughout the round every wild is a Multiplier Wild and the meter never switches off.
Monty Spins
Scatters landing inside the free spins open this second layer. Two scatters start a pick worth 4, 5 or 6 Monty Spins; three, four and five scatters raise the range up to 9. During Monty Spins every Multiplier Wild is sticky, and the meter value from the triggering free spin is fixed for the session.
Inside the Monty Spins
This is where the Very high rating comes from. Sticky Multiplier Wilds stay put for every remaining Monty Spin, so a x10 or x25 wild that lands early can affect each later result. With a fixed meter and wilds that do not leave, a good start compounds over the session, while a session that lands no multiplier wilds pays at normal values.
When a Monty Spin session ends there is one more chance: it can award 3 extra Monty Spins, or the game returns to the free spins. The page describes this as a single chance per session.
