Wild Tiger 2 review
Wild Tiger 2 is the 2025 sequel to BGaming's Wild Tiger, and it keeps the formula of a line slot with paying scatters. Two things are new: the Tiger is now an expanding wild, and a Hold and Win bonus brings coins and randomised multipliers. The studio sets the scene as an Asian-inspired kung fu adventure, with the Tiger as leader of a group of martial arts masters. The listed RTP is 97%, while volatility is not published.
Lines, scatters and the Tiger
The player chooses how many winning lines are in play: 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100. The more lines are active, the bigger the minimum and maximum bet, so the line count is also a way of setting stake size.
Paying scatters and wilds carry over from the first game. The change is that the Tiger is now an Expanding Wild, which the studio says creates more ways to win once it enters the reels.
Hold and Win
Six or more coins on the reels in the main game trigger the Hold and Win bonus. Every coin symbol has a randomly assigned value. The round begins with 3 respins and only sticky coins in play.
At the start, three multipliers are randomly generated, with possible values of x2 to x5, x10 or x15, and placed in empty cells. A coin that drops into one of those cells has the multiplier applied to its value. Each coin that lands refreshes the respins. The round ends when every cell is filled with coins or the respins run out. The studio also mentions extra boosts of x2 and x3 once 15 and 20 coins have been collected.
Cell multipliers
Three multipliers are generated at the start of the bonus and land in empty cells. They only help when a coin lands in the same cell.
Buy Bonus
The bonus can be bought at the price on the button, which adjusts when the bet changes. Changing the bet in the pop-up also changes the main game bet. The button is deactivated during the bonus.
Sources that do not line up
Our catalogue shows no volatility rating and no max win for Wild Tiger 2. BGaming's page mentions an increased max win of x5,000 compared with the first game, which we pass on as the studio's statement. Without a published volatility, the 97% RTP is the only reliable guide to the long-run cost, and it says nothing about how uneven the results are.
Cost of play
One RTP is on record, 97%, a house edge of 3%. Over a long run that is $30 lost per $1,000 wagered. A 100-spin session costs $0.60 on average at $0.20, $3 at $1 and $15 at $5. A free official demo is available.
The first game and other 2025 titles
The original Wild Tiger from 2024 lists a 97.16% RTP, a little higher than the sequel. Among 2025 releases with a 97% RTP, Alice WonderLuck, Doomsday Saloon and Fiesta Clusters are rated Very high, while Burning Chilli 243 is rated Low. Aztec Irwin and Divine Queen: Heart of Ice also list 97%.
Pros
- Choice of 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 lines
- Tiger is now an expanding wild
- Hold and Win with randomised multipliers of up to x15
- Free official demo available
Cons
- No volatility rating published, so the swings are hard to judge
- The x5,000 max win comes from the studio only, not our catalogue
- The RTP is lower than the 97.16% of the original
Verdict
Wild Tiger 2 keeps the line-slot basics and adds two upgrades, an expanding Tiger and a Hold and Win round with cell multipliers. The 97% RTP means a 3% house edge, about $30 per $1,000, and the studio states a x5,000 ceiling that our catalogue does not list. With no volatility rating published, treat the swings as unknown. It suits players who like choosing their own line count. Try the free demo first.
