Alien Fruits review
BGaming imagined a planet of super-intelligent fruit and sent five of them, Avocado, Plum, Pomegranate, Lemon and Passionfruit, onto the reels. Underneath the joke is a pay-anywhere slot from 2023 with refilling reels, a spaceship scatter and a free spins round where multipliers from x2 to x100 are summed at the end of each refill chain. High volatility and a 95.97% RTP shape how it plays.
Counting symbols instead of lines
Alien Fruits has no paylines. The win for a spin is set by how many of the same symbol sit on the screen once it stops, wherever they are. Alongside the fruit characters, the lower symbols are letters, which the studio styles as space jellies. Each fruit is given its own personality in the story, but the official page in our pack does not say what any single symbol pays.
After each payout, the Refilling feature takes over. Winning symbols are removed, symbols from above drop into the empty cells, and any fresh matches pay as well. This continues without a limit until no winning combination remains, and the total is credited to the balance only after every refill from that spin has played out.
Features in the rules
BGaming lists five mechanics on the game page. Refilling is covered above; the rest are below.
Scatter
The flying ship is the scatter. In the main game it pays in any position, and four or more in a single spin start free spins. The count decides the length: four give 10 spins, five give 20 and six give 30. The scatter is the only way in apart from buying the round.
Free Spins
The bonus keeps the pay-anywhere rules and refills. Three or more scatters landing during the round add 5 more spins each time. What sets the round apart is the multiplier symbol, which does not appear in the main game, so this is the only place where wins can be multiplied.
Multiplier symbol
Shown as a teleportal, it takes a random value from x2 to x100 when it lands and stays put until that refill sequence ends. At that point the values of all multiplier symbols on screen are summed, and the total multiplies the final win of the sequence. Several in one chain add together rather than compound.
Buy Bonus
Free spins can be bought for the price shown on the button, which adjusts automatically when the bet changes. The option is switched off while the bonus round is running. BGaming does not publish the price as a fixed multiple of the bet on the page we use, so check it on screen before buying.
How the money side looks
One RTP is listed: 95.97%. That is a house edge of 4.03%, so about $40.30 of each $1,000 wagered is kept over a very long run. Expected cost for 100 spins is $0.81 at $0.20, $4.03 at $1 and $20.15 at $5.
Volatility is rated High. No max win or hit frequency is published in our data.
Sequels and similar High-volatility games
The two sequels move the RTP up noticeably. Alien Fruits 2 from 2024 lists 97.17% with Very high volatility, and Alien Fruits 3 from 2026 lists 97%. For players who like the idea but want a better return, those are the obvious comparison.
Other BGaming titles near the original's numbers include Dice Bonanza at the same 95.97%, Bone Bonanza at 96% and Izzi Art at 96.11%, all High.
Who it fits
The game suits players who enjoy chain reactions and accept that the large outcomes depend on several multipliers landing in one refill sequence during free spins. With High volatility and a 4.03% house edge, a short session can easily end without a bonus. The free demo is a good way to see how often the ship scatters arrive before spending money.
Pros
- Up to 30 free spins from six scatters, with 5-spin retriggers
- Free spin multipliers from x2 to x100 summed per refill sequence
- Pay-anywhere wins with unlimited refills
- Free official demo available
Cons
- High volatility with multipliers only in the bonus
- No published max win or fixed Buy Bonus price
Verdict
Alien Fruits wraps a pay-anywhere, refilling slot in a playful story about space-travelling fruit, and its free spins, with up to 30 spins and summed x2 to x100 multipliers, are where it comes alive. The weaker points are numerical: a 95.97% RTP, a 4.03% house edge and High volatility. Its own sequels list higher returns. Try the demo first and play with a fixed limit.
