Reel Banks review
Reel Banks takes you inside a bank, with money, gold and lucky sevens on a 5x4 board. Its base game has two layers: ordinary line wins on 25 paylines and a coin system in which bonus symbols pay only when a collect symbol shows up with them. The free spins then drop the collect step and bring in six modifier symbols. Pragmatic Play released it in 2022, and no max win or volatility is published.
Lines and the coin layer
The grid is five reels by four rows with 25 paylines that pay left to right. The rules count 18 symbols: nine regular ones, a wild that pays, a bonus symbol, a collect symbol and six free game modifier symbols. The studio adds that the wild substitutes for every symbol except scatters.
The coin layer works beside the lines. Bonus coins can land on any reel, and each carries a value. The total of all coins on the screen is paid, but only when the collect symbol is also visible, and the collect symbol is found only on reel five. A coin without a collector is worth nothing on that spin.
The free spins and their modifiers
The studio says the free spins are awarded when at least one bonus coin is present on each reel. The number of spins is not given in the text we hold. Inside the round, the collect mechanic is removed and replaced by modifiers that can increase coin values, award extra spins, multiply wins and collect all the bank values.
The rules name the six modifiers explicitly, and they come in three pairs, each with a plain and an all version.
Collect and Collect all
These two modifiers gather coin values, and the studio lists collecting all bank values among the round's effects. The rules text we hold does not detail the difference between the two.
Multiply and Multiply all
These two modifiers multiply wins. The names suggest a narrower and a broader version, but the rules text we hold does not spell out the difference.
Add spins and Add all
These two modifiers award extra spins to the round. The text we hold gives no spin counts for either, and the studio does not state how many spins the round starts with.
The numbers
Only one RTP is listed: 96.04%, which means a house edge of 3.96%. Every $1,000 wagered costs about $39.60 on average. Over 100 spins that is $0.79 at a $0.20 bet, $3.96 at $1 and $19.80 at $5, with $500 staked at the highest level.
No max win is on file, nor a volatility label. Since the coin values and modifiers are in the bonus, a full picture of the risk requires the demo.
Near neighbours
African Elephant also lists 96.04%, and 3 Buzzing Wilds 96.03%. Ding Dong Christmas Bells (96.05%) and Big Bass Halloween (96.04%) both have a 2,100x cap. From the same year, Big Bass - Keeping it Reel lists 96.07% and 10,000x, and Cleocatra 96.2% and 5,000x.
Pros
- Two layers: 25 paylines plus a coin system with a collect symbol
- Six modifier symbols change the free spins round
- Wild substitutes for all symbols except scatters
- Free official demo available
Cons
- No max win or volatility label in our catalogue
- Bonus coins pay only when the collect symbol is present
- The number of free spins and the modifier details are not in the text we hold
Verdict
Reel Banks combines a plain 25-line game with a coin-and-collector layer and a modifier-based bonus. The 96.04% RTP means a 3.96% house edge, and without a published max win or volatility, the swings are hard to size up. Use the free demo to see what the six modifiers do, and treat any play as paid entertainment.
