Mystery Reels Deluxe review
One number stands out before any feature does: a hit frequency of 9.29%. Fewer than one spin in ten pays, and yet the catalogue labels Mystery Reels Deluxe as Medium volatility with a 23,084x maximum. Red Tiger dresses the game as a vintage machine with five reels and three rows, then adds two symbols that do the work: a Mystery symbol that clones itself and a Wheel Deluxe scatter that opens a Bonus Wheel.
A simple board with a cloning symbol
The layout is five reels and three rows with up to 25 paylines. The look is classic fruit-machine symbols with an upgrade, in the studio's words.
Up to three Mystery symbols can land on any spin. Each is shown as a box that slides to new positions a random number of times, copying itself into every position it visits. All Mystery symbols in the spin reveal the same result, either one randomly chosen paying symbol or the Wheel Deluxe symbol. A single reveal can fill many positions with one symbol, which is how a plain three-row board produces large lines.
The Bonus Wheel
Two or more Wheel Deluxe symbols, landed directly or revealed by the Mystery symbol, start the Bonus Wheel. Each one gives a single spin on the wheel, and as many as 15 can land in a spin. The wheel does not pay per spin: its stake multiplier sectors accumulate a reward, and the total is paid at the end of the feature.
Stake multiplier sectors
At the start the sectors show 2x, 3x, 5x, 6x, 8x and 10x. The values change during the feature, so the same wheel can be worth far more at the end than at the beginning, depending on which special sectors are hit.
Double All and +5 to All
Double All doubles the value of every stake multiplier sector. +5 to All adds 5 to every one of them. Both affect the whole wheel, not a single sector, so they increase the value of later spins.
+2 Spins and the Mystery sector
+2 Spins gives two more spins on the wheel. The Mystery sector reveals either one of the multipliers currently on the wheel or another special sector. If the final spin lands on a special sector, one more spin is awarded.
What the numbers say
The RTP is 95.66%, which puts the house edge at 4.34% and the long-run cost at about $43.40 per $1,000 wagered. A 100-spin session averages $0.87 at a $0.20 bet, $4.34 at $1 and $21.70 at $5.
The maximum win is 23,084x the bet: $4,616.80 at $0.20, $23,084 at $1 and $115,420 at $5. With a 9.29% hit frequency, most spins return nothing, so the Medium label should not be read as a promise of steady small wins. The size of the ceiling points to the Bonus Wheel as the main source of large outcomes.
The earlier game and similar numbers
The catalogue also has Mystery Reels from 2017, listed at 96.24%, Medium, with a 4,991x maximum. The Deluxe version has a lower RTP and a much higher top win.
Among games with similar numbers, Big Gains (95.67%, 39,375x) has the nearest RTP, Cash Explorer is at 95.74% and 14,597x, and Year - Round Riches Clusterbuster at 95.75% and 20,482x. Digging For Wilds from 2026 lists 96.04% and 20,196x.
Pros
- Mystery symbol clones one symbol into many positions
- Bonus Wheel multipliers accumulate and can be doubled or raised
- Up to 15 Wheel Deluxe symbols can add spins in one go
- Free official demo available
Cons
- A hit frequency of 9.29% means most spins return nothing
- 95.66% RTP, a 4.34% house edge
- The Bonus Wheel needs two or more Wheel Deluxe symbols
Verdict
Mystery Reels Deluxe is a low-frequency game dressed as a Medium one. A 95.66% RTP and 4.34% house edge combine with a 9.29% hit rate and a 23,084x maximum, so quiet stretches are likely and the wheel does most of the lifting. The rules are short enough to learn in the free demo, which is worth doing before any stake.
