Fat banker review

Fat Banker takes you back to the 1920s with a rich banker, his wife and his dog. Push Gaming fills the game with moving parts: bullion symbols, bet multipliers of up to 100x, two car-themed random features and a free spins mode where the banker himself grows. The studio text is a long list of features with few numbers, and the catalogue holds neither volatility nor max win. What follows is a map of the features and a plain look at the cost.

Bullion, multipliers and the Silver Safe

Bullion symbols and multipliers appear on the first five reels in the base game and on all six during the Fortune Link feature. The multipliers act as bet multipliers and can reach 100x. They can also be awarded when a Silver Safe symbol lands, and a multiplier can then lift the value of every bullion symbol on screen, again up to 100x.

The two car features

Both features are random, and the studio ties each one to a particular stage of the game.

Red Car

It can trigger at random in the base game, when a Fat Banker, Silver Safe, Wild Money Bag or any bullion symbol lands. It then adds one more symbol to the reels: a Wild Money Bag with or without multipliers, bullion symbols or the Silver Safe.

Gold Car

It can trigger at random during Fortune Link and the Fat Banker free spins, once no spins remain. During the free spins it adds a Wild Money Bag; in Fortune Link it adds a random number of Instant Prize symbols.

Fat Banker free spins

One or more Wild Money Bag symbols landing next to a Fat Banker symbol triggers this mode. The banker moves to each bag that lands, collects it and adds it to a progress meter. The fuller the meter gets, the larger the banker grows, and extra free spins are awarded along the way.

The text also describes a collection mechanic that begins with two free spins. Each bullion or multiplier symbol that lands adds more spins and resets the counter.

Two RTP versions

The catalogue lists 96.43% and a lower 94.45%. The first leaves a 3.57% house edge, which is $35.70 per $1,000 wagered. The second leaves 5.55%, or $55.50. The studio notes that the RTP can vary by operator and is shown on the loading screen.

Over 100 spins at $0.20, the average cost is $0.71 or $1.11. At $1 it is $3.57 or $5.55, and at $5 it is $17.85 or $27.75.

Close neighbours

Hearts Highway lists 96.44%, Fat Rabbit and Fat Santa 96.45%, and 10 Swords 96.41%. Bison Battle and Blaze of Ra both list 96.4%.

Pros

  • Bet multipliers up to 100x that can also lift every bullion symbol on screen
  • Fat Banker free spins grow with a progress meter and award extra spins
  • Higher version of 96.43% RTP is in line with similar games
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • A lower 94.45% version exists with a 5.55% house edge
  • Many overlapping features, and no volatility label or max win in our data

Verdict

Fat Banker offers a dense feature set: bullion symbols, multipliers up to 100x, Red and Gold car triggers and a banker that grows during the free spins. The 96.43% RTP is close to similar games, but a 94.45% version is also recorded, so check the loading screen. Volatility is unpublished. Try the free demo to learn how the features connect before staking, and treat every spin as a cost.
