Tiny Toads review
Tiny Toads builds its bonus out of colours. Three toads sit above the reels, one purple, one green and one red, and each collects fireflies of its own colour. A collected firefly can start a free spins round with that toad's modifier switched on, and a single round can carry one, two or all three modifiers. Pragmatic Play released it in 2024 with a 4,000x cap, and the modifier design is the whole point.
Wilds, fireflies and toads
The game pays on lines from left to right. The wild appears on reels 2 to 5 and replaces every symbol except the fireflies. Purple, red and green fireflies are collected by the matching toad at the end of the spin, and each collection can randomly trigger the free spins with that colour's modifier active.
If the trigger fires, one, two or three modifiers are switched on at random. The round then plays with every modifier it was awarded. During a round, fireflies can be collected again and can queue a further round, which starts when the current one ends.
What each modifier does
A round with only the purple or only the green modifier starts with 5 free spins, according to the rules. The studio says the red round grants 10.
Purple modifier
Each purple firefly reveals a random award: 1x or 10x the total bet, or 1 or 2 extra free spins. A random multiplier of x2, x3 or x5 can also appear on any spin and applies to all line wins on that spin.
Green modifier
The number of lines rises to 100 and the grid grows to 5x6. Any wild that lands also triggers a nudge of its reel until the reel is full of wilds.
Red modifier
The rules text in our data is cut short before it explains the red modifier. The studio describes the red round as the one with 10 spins, multipliers as high as 5x and a chance at one of three jackpots. We do not state jackpot values because the pack has none.
Two ways to buy
The round can be bought from the base game. Paying 100x the total bet triggers the free spins with one, two or three modifiers landing at random. Paying 400x triggers it with all three modifiers on the triggering spin. At a $1 bet that is $100 or $400, and at $5 the cheaper option is $500.
The studio also describes a multicoloured round after the single-colour rounds, with 10 free spins, more lines, multipliers and a chance of a jackpot.
