Gold Party review
Pragmatic Play built Gold Party in 2022 around the luck of the Irish, but the theme is only the wrapping. The real subject is coin collection. Line wins pay in the usual left-to-right way, while Money symbols wait for a count of six to open a respin round that runs on four separate grids at once. Multiplier and Extra Spin symbols then decide how far that round can travel before it ends.
Base game: lines, wilds and copied stacks
Ordinary wins are paid on paylines, read from left to right across adjacent reels. The studio does not list the line count in the rules we hold, so we will not guess it. A wild symbol can turn up on reels 2, 3 and 4 and stands in for every symbol apart from the Money coin.
One base-game trick deserves attention. When a full stack of the highest-paying symbol fills reel 1, the game can copy that stack onto one or more further reels, up to all of them, overwriting whatever would have landed there. That is the main route to a large line win outside the bonus, and it is triggered by chance rather than by any extra bet.
Copy Reels
Active in the base game only. A complete stack of the top symbol on the first reel is duplicated onto at least one more reel and possibly every reel, replacing the symbols underneath. The more reels it copies to, the more paylines that symbol can complete on that spin.
Coins, double coins and the trigger
Money symbols can appear on every reel, both in normal play and inside the respin round. Each one carries a value taken from a fixed list running from 0.2x up to 100x the total bet, with steps such as 1x, 5x, 12x, 40x and 80x in between. A Double Money symbol, seen only in the base game, counts as two coins for the trigger.
Six or more coins in a base spin start the Money Respin feature. The round only begins after any line wins from that spin have been paid, so the trigger spin is settled first.
The Money Respin on four grids
Once the feature starts, play moves to four 3x5 grids instead of one. The rules we hold are cut short at this point, so we describe only what they confirm: coins keep appearing, they fill positions on the grids, and two special symbols can join them. Wilds are absent in this round.
Because four grids run together, a round has far more positions to fill than the base reels offer. That spread is the main reason the round, rather than the line game, carries most of the potential behind the 5,163x cap.
Multiplier symbol
When it lands during the respins it reveals a value of 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x or 25x. That multiplier is applied to one Money symbol chosen at random from any filled position across the four grids, so a high-value coin can be boosted well beyond its printed amount.
Extra Spin symbol
Each time this symbol appears, the round gains one more respin. It does not pay by itself, but extending the round gives more coins and more Multiplier symbols a chance to land before the feature closes.
Buy Money Respin
The respin round can be bought directly from the base game for 100x the current total bet. A bought round opens with a random number of Money symbols already on the starting spin. The price is high, and buying does not change the game's long-run return.
RTP, cost and ceiling
There is one RTP version on file: 96.5%, which means a house edge of 3.5%. Spread over a long stretch of play that is roughly $35 kept per $1,000 staked. For a short session, 100 spins at $0.20 put $20 through the reels and cost about $0.70 on average; at $1 a spin the average cost of 100 spins is $3.50, and at $5 it is $17.50.
The win cap is 5,163x the bet: $1,032.60 at $0.20, $5,163 at $1 and $25,815 at $5. Pragmatic Play does not publish a volatility rating for this title in our data. The structure, with a coin round that needs six symbols to start, suggests that returns are uneven and arrive in bursts.
The sequel and close relatives
One follow-up is in the catalogue: Gold Party 2 - After Hours from 2025, listed at 96.55%, with no volatility or max win recorded yet. Among slots with similar numbers, Happy Hooves and Big Bass Splash both arrived in 2022 with 5,000x ceilings, at 96.5% and 96.71% respectively. Hot to Burn Extreme from the same year lists 96.65%.
Pros
- Respin round runs on four 3x5 grids, giving many positions to fill
- Multiplier symbol boosts a random coin by up to 25x
- Copy Reels can spread a full top-symbol stack across the reels in the base game
- Free official demo available
Cons
- No volatility rating is published
- Buying the respin round costs 100x the total bet
- The payline count is not stated in the rules we hold
Verdict
Gold Party is a coin-collection game first and a line slot second. The four-grid Money Respin, with Multiplier and Extra Spin symbols, is where its 5,163x cap lives, while Copy Reels keeps the base game from being idle. The RTP is 96.5%, and the missing volatility rating means the free demo is the sensible place to judge its rhythm. Budget for a 3.5% house edge.
