Land of Riches review
Four characters march into the Land of Riches: a Man, a Dwarf, an Elf and a Troll. In Red Tiger's slot they do not all work from the start. The base game opens with only the Man, and the others are unlocked one at a time as free spins are played. Each newcomer brings a different tool, from cloning Wilds to multipliers and a Hold and Respin round. That staged design is the idea worth understanding before you look at the figures.
Free spins that change the game
Two Free Spins symbols award 10 free spins, with at least two characters active in each spin. The more unusual rule is what happens afterwards. After each of the first three free spins rounds, a new level unlocks, and it stays for the base game. Retriggered free spins do not unlock extra levels.
So the slot is played in four stages. Level one has the Man Wild only. After the first round the Dwarf joins and enables the Mini and Minor prizes. After the second round the Elf arrives with big multipliers and the Midi and Major prizes. After the third the Troll unlocks Hold and Respin and the Mega Prize of 20,000x.
The four characters
The grid is 5 reels by 3 rows with up to 22 lines, and each character has a defined job.
Man Wild
Available from the start. It substitutes for all paying symbols, and five Man Wilds on a win line pay as five Ring symbols.
Dwarf
Appears from the second level on reels 2, 3 and 4, substitutes for all paying symbols and carries x3 on any win it helps create. Several Dwarfs in one win add their multipliers together. A Dwarf that lands above the bottom digs down, turning every position beneath it into Dwarfs. It can also unearth gems for the Mini (10x) or Minor (25x) Prize.
Elf
May land on reel 3 only, from the third level. It substitutes for all paying symbols and can reveal a multiplier of x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x20, x30, x50 or x100, added to any Dwarf multipliers in the same win. It can instead reveal a magic object for the Midi (100x) or Major (1000x) Prize.
Troll
Lands only on reel 3 in the fourth level. After line wins are paid, it adds six Cash or Prize symbols to random positions and starts Hold and Respin. The top prize on offer there is the 20,000x Mega Prize.
The maths of Land of Riches
The catalogue lists one RTP, 96.03%, so the house edge is 3.97%. Over a long run that costs about $39.70 per $1,000 wagered. Volatility is Very high, while the hit frequency is 40.35%, which means roughly four spins in ten return something. That figure counts small wins too, so it says little about how often the bigger prizes arrive.
A 100-spin session at $0.20 costs $0.79 on average, at $1 it costs $3.97, and at $5 ($500 wagered) it costs $19.85. The max win is 21,065x the bet, which equals $4,213 at a $0.20 bet, $21,065 at $1 and $105,325 at $5. Note that the top prizes sit behind the later levels, so the base game on its own carries only part of that potential.
The studio shows a bet range of €0.10 to €50.00, and the game released in 2025 after an early-access window.
Who it suits and what else is close
The level structure rewards patience, because the strongest features are locked until several free spins rounds have been played. Combined with Very high volatility, this is a game for a small, fixed stake, not for chasing results.
Alternatives with nearly the same return include Hit The Jungle at 96.08% and 20,000x, Biggest Vault at 96.14% and 21,026x, and Loki's Descendants at 96.1% and 20,000x. All are rated Very high.
Pros
- Four characters unlock in stages, so the game keeps changing
- Max win of 21,065x the bet
- Hit frequency of 40.35%
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Very high volatility
- The strongest features only unlock after several free spins rounds
- Retriggered free spins do not unlock extra levels
Verdict
Land of Riches is a Very high volatility slot with a clear idea: the Man, Dwarf, Elf and Troll are unlocked in order, and the Hold and Respin round with its 20,000x Mega Prize waits at the end. The RTP is 96.03% and the max win 21,065x the bet. A 3.97% house edge applies from the first spin, so decide your budget first and try the demo to see how the levels unlock.
