Golden Ticket 2 review
Step under the big top of the 1920s. Golden Ticket 2 is a 5 by 5 cascading grid slot from Play'n GO, where the largest symbols are a Ringmaster, a Knife-Thrower and a Clown, and the lower ones are their props. It is the 2020 sequel to a 2014 game with a very different profile. The sequel is rated Very high volatility, and it comes with five RTP versions, which makes the version you play a real part of the cost.
Winning on the grid
A win needs three or more identical symbols matched horizontally or vertically. Winning combinations leave the grid and the rest drop down, so one spin can pay more than once. The Wilds are a Standard Wild shaped like the big top, plus x2 and x3 Multiplier Wilds that raise the value of any combination they help create.
The two features
The studio describes two features. The first fills a meter, the second needs a row to be cleared.
Multiplier Wilds meter
A Wild Meter beside the grid fills when combinations are made with the character symbols. Matching three, four or five symbols fills one, two or three sections, and the meter resets after each round. Once it is full, Wilds are placed on the grid at random. Whichever character is active beside the grid at that moment decides which Wild you receive.
Circus Free Spins
In each game round one row is chosen as the Bonus Row. If you clear the whole row and reveal the word BONUS, the free spins are triggered, and you pick one of three options: 5 free spins with a x3 Multiplier Wild, 7 with a x2 Multiplier Wild, or 9 with a x1 Multiplier Wild.
Inside the free spins
The three choices trade spins against multiplier size. Five spins with x3 gives the fewest chances and the biggest Wild, nine spins with x1 the opposite. Which suits you depends on how you weigh a steady stream of small wins against a few larger ones.
In the free spins, filling the meter rewards a Win Spin that features your chosen Wild. During a Win Spin the Wild appears as a 2x2 symbol, which the studio says secures a win. The grid is filled with entirely new symbols, including the Wild, and then any wins are paid. Filling the meter during a Win Spin can set off another one.
Five versions of the same game
Our catalogue records five RTPs: 96.5%, 94.5%, 91.5%, 87.5% and 84.5%. The house edge grows from 3.5% to 15.5%. Per $1,000 wagered, the average loss rises from $35 to $55, $85, $125 and $155.
On 100 spins at $0.20, the best version costs $0.70 and the lowest $3.10. At $1 the figures are $3.50 and $15.50, and at $5 ($500 wagered) they are $17.50 and $77.50. No max win is published here, and the game's release year is 2020. Before you play for real, find out which version you are running.
Series and neighbours

Verdict
Golden Ticket 2 combines a cascading 5x5 grid, a Wild Meter and a Bonus Row that opens the Circus Free Spins, where you choose between 5, 7 or 9 spins. The headline RTP is 96.5% with Very high volatility, but five versions are recorded, down to 84.5%. Check the version first, set a budget and try the demo before any real stakes.
