Fire Strike 2 review
Fire Strike 2 is a 2022 sequel to Pragmatic Play's Fire Strike from 2019, and it keeps an old-school feel: 10 paylines and a symbol set built around one fiery icon. That Firestrike symbol does more than substitute. Collect six or more anywhere and the game pays an instant money bonus; during free spins, each one can stick, building towards a 15-symbol jackpot. It is a count-the-icons game more than a line game.
Lines plus a symbol count
Regular wins come from 10 paylines read left to right. The Firestrike Wild appears on every reel and replaces all symbols except the scatter, so it helps complete lines in the usual way.
The twist is that Firestrike symbols are also counted across the whole screen. Six or more Firestrike or Firestrike Wild symbols anywhere award an instant money bonus on top of any line wins. That makes each spin a two-part check: what the lines paid, and how many Firestrikes are showing.
The Firestrike bonus table
During the free spins the rules print a full award table based on the number of Firestrike symbols in view. It starts at 10 for five symbols and climbs to 20 for six, 80 for seven, 250 for eight and 500 for nine. From there it grows quickly: 1,500 for ten, 5,000 for eleven, 10,000 for twelve, 25,000 for thirteen and 50,000 for fourteen. Fifteen symbols, a full screen, win the jackpot listed at 250,000.
The rules excerpt in our pack does not state the unit of these values. Because the game's maximum win is limited to 25,000x the bet, they are best read as paytable units that scale with your stake rather than direct multiples of the bet. The in-game paytable shows them in money at your chosen bet, which is the clearest way to read them.
Free spins and sticky Firestrikes
Scatters only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5, so the trigger needs one on each of those three reels. Three scatters pay 2x the total bet and start 12 free spins on special reels. Three more during the round add another 12.
The round's main feature is persistence. Every Firestrike symbol that lands has a random chance to stay sticky for the rest of the round. Sticky symbols keep counting towards the bonus table on later spins, so the total can creep up from one spin to the next. Reaching fourteen or fifteen needs a long run of sticks, which is why those tiers are rare.
Firestrike Bonus
Six or more Firestrike or Firestrike Wild symbols anywhere on the screen pay an instant money bonus. In the free spins, the count can include symbols that stuck from earlier spins, and fifteen win the jackpot.
Free Spins
Three scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 award 12 free spins and pay 2x the total bet. Each Firestrike that lands may become sticky until the end of the round, and three more scatters retrigger 12 extra spins.
Return and limits
Our catalogue lists an RTP of 96.5%, while the official rules quote a theoretical 96.53%. The difference is small. At the catalogue figure the house edge is 3.5%, about $35 per $1,000 wagered over time. For 100 spins the average cost is $0.70 at $0.20, $3.50 at $1 and $17.50 at $5.
Wins are limited to 25,000x the bet, which is $5,000 at a $0.20 stake and $25,000 at $1. No volatility rating is published in our data. With no bonus buy and no ante option, the free spins can only be reached by landing scatters naturally. Since scatters are limited to three of the five reels, the trigger needs all three of those reels to cooperate on the same spin, which keeps the bonus relatively scarce.
Related numbers
The 2019 Fire Strike also lists 96.5%, with no max win in our catalogue. Might of Ra from the same year as the sequel lists 96.49% and 22,500x, and Big Bass Bonanza 1000 from 2025 sits at 96.51% with a 20,000x cap.
Pros

- Sticky Firestrikes in the free spins build towards larger awards
- 12 free spins with 12-spin retriggers
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Top bonus tiers need fourteen or fifteen Firestrikes, which is rare
- Award table units are not explained in our source
- No published volatility rating
Verdict
Fire Strike 2 is a compact 10-line slot that turns one symbol into the whole story: Firestrikes complete lines, pay instant bonuses in groups of six or more, and stick during free spins on the way to a full-screen jackpot. The RTP is 96.5% in our catalogue and 96.53% in the rules, and volatility is not published. With a 3.5% house edge, try the free demo and play within a set budget.
