Bonanza Billion review

According to BGaming, this fruit-themed release from 2021 was the studio's first title with cascading reels. Winning symbols clear away, new ones fall in, and a single paid spin can keep paying until the board runs dry. Symbols count anywhere on the screen rather than along lines. Add free spins with summed multipliers, an optional Chance x2 bet and a Buy Bonus button, and the whole design points towards a round where most of the value is concentrated.

Pay anywhere, then refill

Position does not matter here. At the end of a spin the game counts how many copies of each symbol are on the screen, and that total decides the value of the win. There are no paylines to track, which makes each result quick to read.

Every win starts the refill process. The winning symbols disappear, the rest slide down and fresh symbols drop from above into the gaps. The studio notes that the process repeats within one spin without limit, as long as new winning combinations keep forming. Wins from the whole chain are added to the balance only after the last refill of a base spin has been played.

Bonus tools in the main game

Two optional switches change how a base spin is priced. Neither alters the RTP figure listed in our catalogue; they shift where the money goes.

Chance x2

This option raises the bet slightly. In return, the main game offers more chances to catch four or more scatters and start the free spins. It cannot be combined with Buy Bonus: while Chance x2 is on, the buy button is switched off, and the reverse applies as well.

Buy Bonus

The free spins round can be purchased at the price shown on the button. That price adjusts automatically whenever the bet is changed, so it stays tied to the current stake. It is a paid shortcut to the feature, not a cheaper route to the same result.

Free spins and the multiplier symbol

Scatters open the bonus and the count matters. Four scatters anywhere award 10 free spins, five award 20 and six award 30. During the round, three scatters landing together add 5 more spins.

The multiplier symbol only appears in the free spins. Each one takes a random value between 2x and 100x when it lands and stays on screen until the current refill sequence is finished. At that point all visible multiplier values are added together and the total win of the sequence is multiplied by the sum. A long chain that collects two or three of these symbols is where the large outcomes come from; a sequence without any multiplier pays its normal value.

Multiplier symbol

Free spins only. Lands with a random value from 2x to 100x and remains until the refill sequence ends. All multipliers on screen are then summed and applied to that sequence's total win, so several modest values can combine into a much bigger factor.

What the numbers say

Bonanza Billion has one RTP on record, 95.97%, which means a house edge of 4.03%. Over a long run that comes to about $40.30 lost per $1,000 wagered.

For shorter sessions, 100 spins at $0.20 cost $0.81 on average, 100 spins at $1 cost $4.03 and 100 spins at $5, or $500 wagered, cost $20.15. Our catalogue does not carry a volatility label or a max win for this game. The studio's page describes it as high volatility and mentions payouts of up to 15,000x on a single spin; we pass those on as BGaming's statements rather than catalogue data.

Spin-offs and alternatives

The franchise has grown to three more entries. Bonanza Billion X-mas from 2021 keeps the 95.97% RTP and is labelled High. Two 2026 titles raise the return: Bonanza Billion Xtreme at 96.97% and Bonanza Billion Merge Up+ at 97.04%, both rated Very high. If the RTP gap matters to you, those later versions are the obvious comparison.

Among similar games from the same year, Dragon's Gold 100 lists 96.07% with a High rating, and Miss Cherry Fruits sits at 96.13% with Medium volatility. Beer Bonanza from 2022 shares the 95.97% figure.

Pros

  • Pay-anywhere wins and unlimited refills make every spin easy to read
  • Bonus multipliers of 2x to 100x are summed across a whole refill sequence
  • Up to 30 free spins for six scatters, with 5-spin retriggers
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • Multipliers exist only in the free spins, so the base game carries less of the value
  • No volatility rating or max win in our catalogue; both come only from studio copy

Verdict

Bonanza Billion keeps its rules short: symbols pay anywhere, refills extend each spin, and the free spins add multipliers of 2x to 100x that are summed over a sequence. The 95.97% RTP is on the low side for BGaming, and the volatility is only described as high on the studio's page. Treat it as paid entertainment with a 4.03% house edge, and use the free demo to judge the pace first.
