Always Up! review
BGaming's 2025 release joins two formats that rarely meet. The base game is a small classic slot, three reels by three rows with 5 paying lines, wrapped in Chinese mythology and luck symbolism. The bonus borrows from crash games: you pick one of five firework rockets, watch their multipliers climb, and take whatever yours shows when it bursts. The studio says the slot was designed with portrait mode on phones in mind.
Small grid, short rules
Wins come from 5 lines across a 3x3 grid, a deliberately simple layout. BGaming pitches it at both newcomers and experienced players and describes the bonus as offering more controlled outcomes, because the player makes a choice before it starts.
Three Scatter symbols, one on each of reels 1, 2 and 3 in the same spin, open the Bonus game. The official page does not list the paytable or the symbols, so we do not describe them.
The rocket bonus
Five rockets appear and you select one of them before launch. All five then rise, each carrying a multiplier that keeps growing as it climbs. Every rocket explodes at a random height, and its multiplier freezes at that point. When the last firework has gone off, the multiplier on your chosen rocket is applied to the bet and the round ends.
The choice of rocket is the only decision, and the explosion heights are random, so picking does not change the odds; it just decides which result is yours.
Buy Bonus
The rocket round can be purchased at the price shown on the button, and the spin after the purchase starts it. That turns the game into a straight series of crash rounds, at a higher cost per round than a normal spin.
Two different caps on one page
Our catalogue has no max win or volatility rating for this game. BGaming's page gives a ceiling for the Bonus round, but not consistently: the rules say x599 of the bet, while the FAQ on the same page says x559. We report both and cannot tell which is correct. Either way it is a modest ceiling, and the studio places that top result inside the Bonus game rather than the base game.
The cost of a session
The RTP is 96.07%, with a 3.93% house edge, or about $39.30 per $1,000 staked over a long run. A hundred spins at $0.20 cost $0.79 on average, at $1 they cost $3.93, and at $5, with $500 staked, they cost $19.65.
The x10000 sequel and neighbours
Always Up! x10000 arrived in 2026 with a 96.05% RTP and a Very high rating. Other BGaming titles from 2025 with similar returns include Lucky Lu at 96.07% (Medium), Lady Lucky Gun at 96.13% (Medium) and Jungle Queen at 96.15% (High). Players who prefer a defined risk band have those labels to go by; this game has none.
Pros
- Simple 3x3 grid with 5 lines that takes seconds to learn
- Crash-style rocket bonus is different from standard free spins
- Free official demo available
Cons
- The studio's page gives two different bonus caps, x599 and x559
- No volatility rating published
Verdict
Always Up! is a compact 3x3 slot with a single unusual hook: a rocket bonus where five multipliers race and your pick decides the result. The RTP is 96.07%, no volatility is published, and the bonus cap is modest and stated two ways. It works as light, low-ceiling entertainment with a 3.93% house edge; try the free demo to see the rocket round first.
