Piggy Bankers review

Piggy Bankers puts the wilds in charge. Two banker pigs, one brown and one green, act as wilds, and when a full vertical stack lands, the game can pay a banknote value, respin, or open the free spins. An extra row above the main grid holds the banknotes. Pragmatic Play released the slot in 2023 on 5x4 reels with 20 lines. The studio does not publish a max win or a volatility label for it.

The grid, the banknotes and the bankers

The main screen is five reels by four rows, with 20 pay lines that pay from left to right. The rules count ten symbols: nine regular ones and the wild, which comes in two versions, the brown and the green piggy. The studio lists banknotes, piggy banks and the bankers themselves, who substitute for all other symbols.

An extra reel is added at the top of the grid. When a full vertical stack of wilds sits under one of the banknotes there, the note's value, up to 100x, is awarded. This makes a full stack the main event of the base game, since the stack both pays and sets off the respin.

Wild respin and free spins

Whenever a full stack of wilds hits, a Wild respin can be triggered. The full Piggy Banker wilds then move to either the left or the right of the reels. The studio does not state how many positions they move or how the direction is chosen.

The free spins have two doors. Landing a free spins banknote opens the round, and so do two stacked wilds on one spin. The rules call the second route Two Worlds Collide: when two wilds bump into each other, free spins are awarded.

Two Worlds Collide

In the free games, per the rules, the round plays out with five spins, and any wild starts the respin. Whenever two wilds collide inside it, they form a x2 super stacked wild, add one free spin, and multiply the wins and piggy notes collected above it.

Money symbol tracker

The rules mention a tracker of money symbols that is collected in the base game and again in the free spins. The text we hold is cut off mid-sentence, so we cannot say how a symbol is collected beyond a reference to it being collected twice.

What the numbers say

The catalogue holds a single RTP for the game, 96.05%, leaving the house a 3.95% edge. Stake $1,000 in total and the expected shortfall is $39.50. Smaller sessions follow the same ratio: $0.79 for 100 spins at $0.20, $3.95 for 100 spins at $1, and $19.75 for 100 spins at $5, where the total staked is $500.

A max win is not published, and neither is a volatility label. The only top-end number in the studio's text is the 100x note value in the base game, which is a feature limit, not a cap on the game.

Siblings on RTP

The catalogue pairs this game with six others that share its RTP to the hundredth. Blade and Fangs is capped at 5,000x and Ding Dong Christmas Bells at 2,100x. For Excalibur Unleashed, Rabbit Garden, Sky Bounty and The Knight King, no max win is on file.

Pros

  • Full wild stacks can pay a banknote value of up to 100x and trigger a respin
  • Two routes into the free spins: a free spins banknote or two stacked wilds
  • Wild collisions add a spin and a x2 super stacked wild in the bonus
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • No max win or volatility label is published
  • The rules text is cut off for the money symbol tracker
  • Free spins are short, at five spins in the rules

Verdict

Piggy Bankers is a wild-stack slot: full stacks of banker wilds pay note values, respin and open the free spins. The 96.05% RTP leaves a 3.95% house edge, with no published max win or volatility. The rules are partly cut off, so use the free demo to see how often stacks form, and treat any play as paid entertainment.
