Golden Leprechaun Megaways review
Red Tiger's Irish-themed Megaways slot from 2019 follows a golden leprechaun into an enchanted forest. Six reels can each show up to seven symbols, which gives as many as 117,649 ways to win. On top of that sit three modifiers that can strike in the main game, and a free spins bonus in which the player picks a feature to run for the whole round. The RTP is 95.72% and volatility is Very high, with a 10,479x max win.
Megaways reels
Each reel can hold up to seven symbols, and with six reels that adds up to the 117,649 maximum. Wins are counted by ways rather than by paylines. The text we hold does not give the exact rule for how many symbols a win needs. Hit frequency is 34.1%, so about one spin in three produces a win.
Three base-game modifiers
The studio lists three features that change the reels. The bonus is built around choosing a feature, so these are the centre of the design.
Lucky Ways
Swaps symbols around so that a win is certain on that spin, awarding win ways of up to a six of a kind.
Random Wilds
Adds up to five Wild symbols anywhere on the reels.
Wild Stacks
Can turn up to four reels into Wild Stacks, each with a multiplier that depends on the size of the reel. When several stacks are in the same winning combination, their multipliers are multiplied together: the studio's example is 3x times 3x giving 9x.
Lucky Spins
Three or more Lucky Spins symbols award the bonus, and extra symbols grant more spins. The studio's text does not give the starting spin count, so it is left out here.
At the start the player chooses which feature stays active for the entire bonus. A retrigger does not change that choice, and no other feature switches on. The Lucky Leprechaun does not appear during Lucky Spins.
Inside the bonus, landing three Lucky Spins scatters on a spin or respin unlocks five extra bonus spins, and each additional scatter beyond three adds another five.
RTP and what a session costs
The only recorded RTP is 95.72%, a house edge of 4.28%. That is about $42.80 lost per $1,000 wagered over a long run. In short sessions, 100 spins at $0.20 cost $0.86 on average, 100 spins at $1 cost $4.28, and 100 spins at $5, or $500 wagered, cost $21.40.
The max win is 10,479x the bet, which is $2,095.80 at a $0.20 bet, $10,479 at $1 and $52,395 at $5. The studio's text says wins of over 10,000x, which fits with that figure.

Verdict
Golden Leprechaun Megaways combines six changing reels with three modifiers and a bonus in which a feature is chosen. The 95.72% RTP is a 4.28% house edge, volatility is Very high and the ceiling is 10,479x. It costs about $42.80 per $1,000 wagered on average, which is paid entertainment, and it suits players who accept long dry runs for large possible results.
