Jingle Bells review

Santa runs the show in Jingle Bells. Red Tiger's 2016 Christmas slot places the reels between a fireplace and a decorated tree, and every major feature arrives through him: he throws wilds, switches on a tree multiplier, pushes a giant wild onto the grid or invites you on a sleigh ride to his workshop. The game uses five reels, three rows and 20 lines, with Medium volatility and an 800x top prize.

Santa's random extras

Several features can appear during ordinary spins. Red Tiger presents them as Santa's appearances, sometimes in front of the reels and sometimes peeking from the side. The studio also names a Winning Reels effect but does not explain how it works, so it is not described here.

Raining Wilds

On his way to the tree, Santa throws gifts into the air, and they come down as wilds scattered across the reels. The studio does not give a count, so the number of wilds varies. More wilds spread across 20 lines raise the chance of several line wins at once.

Christmas Tree multiplier

When Santa lights up the tree, a win multiplier is applied to line wins for that spin. Red Tiger does not publish the multiplier values in the material we use, only that the tree boosts line wins rather than any separate prize.

Mega Wild

Santa can push a large 3x3 wild symbol onto the reels. Covering nine positions across three reels, it fills most of the middle of a five-by-three grid and can complete many lines at the same time, which makes it the strongest of the random base-game extras.

Free spins and Santa's Big Bonus

Three Free Spin symbols on the reels award a free spins round. Before it starts, you pick one of three sacks of gifts, and the sack decides how many spins you get. The studio does not list the possible amounts.

Three Bonus symbols open Santa's Big Bonus instead. Here the player slides along a snowy path lined with multipliers toward Santa's Workshop, where the top prize is 800x the stake. That figure matches the game's listed max payout, so reaching the workshop is the route to the game's ceiling.

The return in numbers

Jingle Bells has a 96.28% RTP and a 3.72% house edge. Spread over $1,000 of bets, about $37.20 is lost on average. Per 100 spins: roughly $0.74 at $0.20, $3.72 at $1, and $18.60 at $5.

The hit frequency is 20.36%, about one paying spin in five. The 800x cap is $160 at $0.20, $800 at $1 and $4,000 at $5.

Other festive and Medium-volatility options

Jingle Bells Bonanza 2 lists 96.17%, Medium volatility and a 10,716x cap. Jingle Bells Power Reels lists 95.78%, High volatility and 6,544x. Similar Red Tiger titles include Cinderella's Ball and Epic Journey, both at 96.28% with caps of 950x and 957x, and Ocean Fortune at 96.3% with 904x.

Who it suits

This is a feature-rich but moderate game. Players who like frequent surprises during the base game and a pick-and-ride bonus will find plenty here, and the 96.28% RTP keeps the cost moderate. Anyone hoping for very large multiples should look at the Bonanza follow-up instead, at higher risk. There is no free demo in our data.

Pros

  • Several random base-game extras, including a 3x3 Mega Wild
  • Two bonus rounds: picked free spins and a multiplier path to 800x
  • 20.36% hit frequency with Medium volatility

Cons

  • 800x max payout
  • Free spin counts and multiplier values not published
  • No free demo listed in our data

Verdict

Jingle Bells packs a lot into a 20-line game: Raining Wilds, a tree multiplier and a 3x3 Mega Wild in the base game, then a choice of sacks for free spins or a multiplier path to Santa's 800x workshop prize. The 96.28% RTP and 3.72% house edge are strong for Red Tiger, and Medium volatility keeps swings moderate. Enjoy the seasonal theme with a spending limit set in advance.
