Chicken Rush review
The bonus in Chicken Rush does not pay as it goes. BGaming's 2024 Western, in which three rooster sheriffs pass the time shooting at wooden crates, saves the whole payout of its free spins until the last spin is over. Before that, the round is a collection game: uncover copies of one sticky symbol, gather multipliers, then see what the total is worth. The base game is kept classic, with wilds that carry random multipliers.
The base game in brief
Outside the bonus, this is a conventional slot. Its one twist is the wild, and the other special symbol is the Bonus symbol, which can land on any reel.
Multiplier Wild
Appears only in the main game and substitutes for any symbol except the Bonus symbol. Every wild comes with a random multiplier of x2, x3, x5 or x10, so the same line can pay very different amounts depending on which value the wild shows.
Bonus symbol
Three, four or five Bonus symbols on one spin start the bonus with 5, 7 or 10 free spins respectively. A larger trigger buys a longer round, and in a collecting game every extra spin is another chance to open boxes, find the chosen symbol and complete the set of multipliers before the round closes.
How the box bonus works
At the start of the round, the game picks one symbol at random. Then every position on the reels turns into a wooden box. On each free spin some boxes open and reveal one of three things: an extra free spin, a multiplier, or the chosen symbol, which then stays in place as a sticky symbol.
Nothing is paid while this happens. The aim is to fill the reels with as many copies of the chosen symbol as possible and to find multipliers. If five multipliers are collected, they activate, and 5 symbols are picked at random to be multiplied by them. When the round finishes, the payout is calculated from what has been gathered.
That structure has a clear consequence. The value of a bonus depends on three things working together: which symbol was chosen, how many copies of it appear, and whether the five multipliers are completed. A round can look promising halfway and still end modestly if the multipliers never arrive.
Bronze, Silver and Gold
Three Buy Bonus options let you skip the trigger, each at its own price. Bronze buys the standard round, with the sticky symbol chosen at random from all symbols. Silver restricts the choice to the high-paying symbols. Gold works like Silver but doubles the number of multipliers. Our source does not list the prices as multiples of the bet, so compare them in the game before buying. Higher tiers improve the round's starting conditions; they do not remove the chance of a small result.
What the numbers say
The game has a single RTP of 97%, which means a 3% house edge, around $30 per $1,000 wagered over time. On average, 100 spins cost $0.60 at $0.20, $3 at $1 and $15 at $5.
No volatility rating is published, and our catalogue lists no max win. The studio's FAQ puts the top win at 5,000x the stake, which would be $1,000 at $0.20.
Related games and fit
Chicken Rush 2 followed in 2026, also at 97%. Several 2024 BGaming games share the 97% figure, including Aztec Clusters and Panda Luck, both rated Very high, and Wild Moon Thieves.
The game suits players who like a bonus with a visible goal and do not mind waiting for the result until the end. Anyone who prefers wins paid spin by spin may find the format frustrating. The free demo shows how the boxes and sticky symbols play out.
Pros
- Wilds carry random multipliers up to x10
- A collection-style bonus unlike standard free spins
- Three Buy Bonus tiers with different starting conditions
- Free official demo available
Cons
- No volatility rating or catalogue max win published
- Bonus value depends on completing five multipliers
- Buy prices are not given as bet multiples in our source
Verdict
Chicken Rush pairs a classic base game with multiplier wilds and a distinctive bonus where sticky symbols and multipliers are collected and only paid at the end. The 97% RTP and 3% house edge are attractive, but with no published volatility rating the pacing is hard to judge. The studio states a 5,000x ceiling. Try the demo, and set a budget before any bonus buy.
