Plinko 2 review

BGaming says it launched its first Plinko in 2019 and has built several versions since. Plinko 2 is pitched as two games in one: the classic board for those who want the familiar drop, and an upgraded mode with extra features that can be switched on. The 99% RTP leaves a 1% house edge, and our catalogue rates the volatility Low. The headline feature is customization, not a theme or a bonus round.

How a drop pays

You press Play and balls fall from the top of a pyramid and land at random in the cells along the bottom. Each cell carries a value, and those values rise from the centre towards the edges. The amount shown on the cell where a ball ends is credited to your balance.

Because the ball's path is random, nothing about a previous drop affects the next. The studio does not publish the odds of each cell in the text we have.

Setting up the board

Before dropping, you can shape the board in four ways. These controls change the layout and pacing, and the studio says they let you play Plinko your way.

Risk levels

Three levels, high, normal and low, change the cell values. The studio does not publish the individual values in the text we have, so the demo is where to read them.

Lines change

The board can be set to 8 through 16 lines.

Balls amount

A single press of the Play button can send down anywhere from 1 to 100 balls, which race to the bottom at full speed.

Bet mode

Manual mode lets you drop balls individually. In Auto mode the drops run by themselves and you only watch.

The upgraded features

The additions are optional and the studio calls them Buy features. They are what separates Plinko 2 from a plain board.

Multiplier feature

Up to three movable 2x multipliers appear on the field. When a ball passes through one, the win amount is multiplied.

Respin Chance

Random vortexes are added to the bottom cells. A ball that lands in one earns a free spin and keeps the multiplier from its initial drop.

Multiplier Ball Chance

This adds a chance for balls worth 2x and 4x to drop.

Maths and sibling

Plinko 2 has one RTP on record, 99%, a house edge of 1%. Over time that is about $10 lost per $1,000 wagered. Across 100 drops, $0.20 bets cost $0.20 on average, $1 bets cost $1 and $5 bets, or $500 wagered, cost $5. Our catalogue publishes no max win.

The only other game in the franchise listing is Plinko 2 Halloween from 2025. It has the same 99% RTP but a Very high volatility label, against Low here. That gap shows that identical RTP does not mean identical swings.

Pros

  • 99% RTP, a 1% house edge, about $10 per $1,000 wagered
  • Adjustable risk level, 8 to 16 lines and 1 to 100 balls
  • Optional features: 2x multipliers, vortex respins, 2x and 4x balls
  • Free official demo available

Cons

  • No max win in our catalogue
  • The text does not list the cell values for each risk level
  • Dropping up to 100 balls at once can use a budget quickly

Verdict

Plinko 2 keeps the classic ball-drop board and adds a layer of optional features: movable 2x multipliers, vortexes that give a free spin and 2x or 4x balls. With a 99% RTP and Low volatility label, the house edge is 1%, or about $10 per $1,000 wagered. Each drop is random, so the settings change variety, not the long-run return.
